A/N: This chapter is dedicated to my lovely friend/reader MicahChamiQuE. Thanks for the praises girl ;) and for lhenjergui also :)) I had fun talking with you two.

(Lauren's POV)

"When did this started?" Dr. Chase asked curiously.

"After I was discharge. I didn't think that it was that big of a deal until it really became blurry and I'm experiencing some headache."

He nodded. Scratching his chin slightly as he studied the clipboard.

Right now, I was on my regular check up with Dr. Chase. Ever since I was discharge, my eyesight wasn't the same anymore. It wasn't clear anymore. I haven't tell anyone about this except him. So I decided to ask him about this and see of he can do anything.

I didn't tell Camila since I don't want her to worry about me. I patiently waited until he leaned his back on his swivel chair.

"So..." I broke the silence.

"Uh, I think it'd be best if I recommend you to my friend who is an optical doctor. Maybe, you can wear eyeglasses."

My eyebrows furrowed as I looked at him, "How the hell did this happen?" I asked in confusion.

"I don't really know.." He said quietly, sitting up straight.

"Before the accident, my eyesight isn't like this!"

"That's why, we need to do some tests. I think it's the effect of the accident. We'll see, Lauren. Right now, we have to wait until I check up on you."

"But what about my baseball career? Don't expect me to wear eyeglasses while running around the field," I scoffed, laughing humorlessly.

"We have contact lenses. You can wear them if you have games," he said, standing up and walking towards his shelves.

He faced me after a few moments, holding a piece of paper.

"Here," he said as he handed me the piece of paper, "This is the schedule of your check up. You'll meet Dr. Avery in this same day."

I looked at the piece of paper he gave to me.

Check up w/ Dr. Grace Avery, OD.
10:00 AM 12/20/16

"If she suggests that you'll wear eyeglasses, then you'll follow that. We don't need any more complications on your health. Just don't overthink...not until the check up is done," he told me, patting my shoulder.

I only gave him a nod and slipped the piece of paper on my back pocket as I bid him my goodbye.

This thing that's happening to me got me scared. I don't know if this is just something that I shouldn't worry or if there's more to this. This wasn't supposed to happen.

I was supposed to be staying at my apartment with my girlfriend right now. Not went to my doctor and informed him about my eyes. Before I went to my check up, I kinda wished that he'd tell me that it'll disappear soon. But it's the other way around.

Now, I might be wearing eyeglasses. How will I tell Camila about this? Maybe, I'll just wait till I got my glasses.

I can imagine myself wearing it. Do I look cool? I don't know. But I may look like some nerdy girl who likes to spend her time reading a book. Well, that wasn't far from the truth at all.

Before I go crazy, I stopped my thoughts from running around.

I was walking down the street when I felt my phone buzz. I looked at the caller ID and my eyes immediately lit up when I saw Ally's name.
