The whole room erupts in laughter as I read the line. I join in after I catch Jeremy trying not to laugh. “Okay, I know it says to do it in a nasally voice but that was a little overdone.” Pen looks at me with a wide smile.

“Why don’t I try again?” I straighten the script in front of me.

 “That would be great.”

“Alright,” I read the line over in my head, “If those are the things you’re looking for,” I read off laying off a bit from the nasal voice, “then you’ve come to the right place.”

“That was a lot better thank you.” Pen smiles as some of the cast laughs, “Okay, Jeremy read off your lines.”

I feel Jeremy’s hand squeeze my hand a little before he reads his line, “Marceline, you sure about all this?”

“Finn,” Olivia starts from across the table, “I know you don’t exactly like the Ice King. But, he’s important to me and I would really like your help.”

“Alright.”

Now I had another line to read, “Are you to going to buy anything or not?”

“Uh, yes. Give me two of those and two of those.” Olivia reads.

“Now you pay me. You owe 22 dollars.”

“Here. Let’s go, Finn.”

We all turn the page to see the next part of the episode and find a blank page. “Uh, Pen? Why’s there a blank page?” John looks at him confused.

“We’re still writing that one. We put that one in to see if you guys may have any ideas on how to continue it. But because we had a couple of interruptions we should get over to the recording booth.”

Everyone nods before getting up out of their seats. I follow Jeremy out and down the hall. We go into a room that looks like your basic recording studio. A clear glass door led into a glass booth with a microphone, headphones, and a stool. A few couches were lined up against the wall. Then there was the board with all the controls on it. Pen sat down at the board, “Jeremy why don’t you go first?”

“Sure.” He goes into the glass booth and puts the headphones on over his head.

“Taylor, pop a squat over here beside me.” Pen pats the stool next to him.

“Okay.” I sit down on the stool and look at the different nobs. “This is so cool.” I finger a few of the controls and look at Pen.

“Yeah, you think you might want to voice some of the extra characters?” He adjusts a nob and gives a thumbs up to Jeremy.

“What?” I push some hair behind an ear that had come loose from my bun while Jeremy’s voice comes through on the speakers.

“You heard me.” He responds while listening to Jeremy. Jeremy reads through the rest of the lines for the episode and Pen hits a stop button. He hangs up the headphones by the microphone and flips through the script.

“Hey Pen, watch this.” I lean up and knock on the glass, catching Jeremy’s attention. I sit back down on the stool and hook my feet around a metal pool beneath the board. I pretend to lose my balance and fall back.

“What are you doing?” Pen asks.

“Just wait.” I stretch out my arms.

I hear the door swing open, “Taylor, are you okay?” Jeremy’s concerned voice calls out to me. Hynden Walch snorts behind me.

I swing back up into a sitting position, “What do you think?” I smile as the room starts laughing again.

He looks at me with a closed lip smile and shakes his head, “You little…” He sits down behind me on the couch.
