Chapter 1 : The One With The Starter

Tomorrow, I finally get my first starter! I'm so excited, I can't go to sleep!

-----The Next Day-----

I woke up, realized what today was, got dressed, and took off to the lab.

Once I arrived at the Professor's lab, he motioned towards a table with 3 Pokéballs on them. Once I saw them, I instantly thought, "Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle!"

Bulbasaur's Pokéball had a leaf symbol on it, Charmander's had a fire symbol, and Squirtle's had a water symbol! That's how I could tell which was which!

All of a sudden, I heard the door bust open behind me. I looked over there and there, I saw a tall man, who had a medium build. He had blue eyes and blond hair.

"Hey dad." said the boy. The professor responded with a, "Hello Kyle! Are you ready to pick your first Pokémon?" I stood there awestruck, with both of them looking at me with a weird expression.

I asked for an explanation. The professor said, "Shay, this is my son, Kyle."

"Hey, how's it going?" said Kyle. Kyle, is a... nicer rival that the others. "Um, hey. My name's Shay." he said.

Shay and Kyle both turned their gazes to the Pokéballs again. "You can pick first." said Kyle. Shay is super excited and he knows exactly which Pokémon he'll get!
