"Squirtle! Finish it with Bubble!" said Kyle. Shay sighed. "It looks like this is the end." Shay said in his mind.
Squirtle took a deep breath, while Charmander was getting ready for the attack until...
"Alright you two, I think that's enough," said the professor, "Come over here so I can heal your Pokémon."
-----A Little While Later-----
"Have a safe trip! Catch loads of Pokémon! Have fun!" said the professor as the two trainers were leaving their home town, Speal.
"So, what Pokémon do you think you'll catch first?" said Kyle.
"Maybe one of the bird Pokémon," said Shay, "I hear they're pretty common around here."
"Look! There's a flock of them flying above us right now!" said Kyle as he points to the sky.
"Huh? I don't see them." said Shay jokingly. Kyle look at him with a dull, and annoyed expression.
Shay grinned. "Just kidding!" he said. The two laughed and made jokes along the first route, until Kyle had an idea!
"Hey! Instead of being rivals, how about partners?"
