"Hey! Instead of being rivals, how about partners?"
The two stopped so that Shay could think. He thought about it for a while.
"Yeah, I like it!" Shay finally decided. Kyle was very happy. He didn't want to battle Shay just because he ran into him. That wouldn't be much fun.
Suddenly, the two heard rustling in a nearby bush. "It must be a Pokémon!" said Shay, "Can I go for it?"
Kyle nodded. Shay was filled with joy! He snuck up on the Pokémon, and just as they assumed, it was a bird Pokémon! More specifically, a Starly!

The Kalari Region, (the region, not the book,) is filled with known Pokémon. No new ones. This story is just for fun, and making new Pokémon would be too much trouble. I would also like to point out that this book will not be updated frequently, especially during this year's winter. (2016)

"Go Charmander!" The Lizard Pokémon appeared in a bright flash of a Pokéball.
"Charmander! Use Ember!"
Shay's Pokémon obeyed and shot embers at the Pokémon.
The Starly took decent damage... Is what I would say because Shay got his first critical hit! Starly was almost fainted.
"Go Pokéball!" said Shay. He remembers that it has to shake 3 times, before it captures, unless a critical capture happens, but that is very rare.
He noticed it shook once...
