"Go, Squirtle!" said Kyle. "Squirtle!" said the Tiny Turtle Pokémon.
"Charmander, I choose you!" said Shay. "Char!" said the Lizard Pokémon. And after that, the battle was off!
"Charmander! Use Scratch!" said Shay. Charmander listened to his trainer and used the move. They were both relatively low-leveled, so the move did decent damage.
"Squirtle! Shake it off and use Bubble!" said Kyle. Now, Kyle was smart, and knew he had the type advantage.
"Char!" said the Pokémon. He took a ton of damage, and almost fainted.
"Come on Charmander! Don't give up yet!" said Shay. Charmander was barely able to get back up, and Shay could tell that he already couldn't take another Bubble attack.
"Alright Charmander, give it all you've got! Use Ember!" said Shay. He knew that Scratch is a Normal type attack, whereas Ember was a Fire type attack, meaning it wouldn't do as much, but Ember does more damage!
"Squirtle!" the Pokémon said as it tumbled to the ground. Squirtle got back up slowly meaning he was also almost fainted aswell.
"Squirtle! Finish it with Bubble!" said Kyle. Shay sighed. "It looks like this is the end." Shay said in his mind.
