"You did really good, Louie." I spoke softly as we sat next to each other in the beautiful company cafe and restaurant.

My hand rested on the back of his head as I played with his dark hair.

He finished his meal with a sigh, "And thank you, for saying what you did." I spoke softly as my hand slid down his arm.

"What I really wish I could do is get you out of this mess." He said after swallowing, he took my left hand in his, I glanced down at the ring that fit on my ring finger perfectly.

"As long as I have you, I'm fine." I assured him with a small smile before I looked up to see the two men walking towards us.

They sat on the other side of our small table.

"You were good. Very good." One of them spoke, "You can speak on radio again." He said with a sheet of paper.

Louie skimmed it before handing it to me, it basically talked about how America was wrong for joining the war and so on and so forth.

"I can't say this." Louie stammered.

"Why not?" One of them asked, "Because it's not true. What it says about America, I can't say that." Louie said my heart fluttered because he had such loyalty.

"They say it." One of the men said pointing behind us and we looked to see three soldiers that were obviously doing well, "American like you."

"They live here. Very comfortable. Good food." He continued as Louie and I looked away from the soldiers and at each other, I gave him a small nod, silently telling him that I support his decision, whatever it may be.

"You want to go back to camp? You make broadcast." He said before Louie sighed.

The sun hit our faces as the gates opened, "Here, I almost forgot." I spoke up, as I reached for the ring, I knew how important this ring was to him and how much it meant to his family.

"Hold on to that for me, would you?" He smiled, even though it seemed like we were staring at death as the gates opened.

"Louie-" "Sunshine, please." He spoke softly before I didn't fight it anymore.

We were pushed back into the camp, at least our families know we're alive and we got a belly full of good food out of the day.

We walked back up to Watanabe and saluted as we stood in front of him.

He slightly smirked as he looked at Louie.

He nodded and suddenly they turned Louie and tied his hands behind his back.

I looked around with worry, I noticed all the soldiers lined up in front of Louie and my mind went to the worse case scenario.

Watanabe walked close to Louie, only the three of us could hear what he said.

"You are like me. We are both strong. I saw it in your eyes, the first day." Watanabe whispered.

"I thought.. This man will be my friend. But, enemy of Japan." Watanabe scared me, I was practically shaking in my boots and he wasn't even talking to me.
