A whole bunch of memories flood me when I see what's inside the not so tiny compartment. I see some things we and my brothers put in when I was in fifth grade. We tried to do one of those things where you make a "time capsule" to see how much you changed over some years. Then, when each of us entered college, we added something. Then at the end of college, we saw all the things. It was magical looking at it all.
I had put in a sky blue square button (like my eyes) a piece of licorice, and a 100$ Monopoly money bill. Zane put in a lock of a pinkacakes' doll hair wrapped in an orange ponytail holder, a lemon head candy, and a two cent piece our uncle (dad's younger brother) gave him. And Vlad put in a patch of green blanckey fabric, a lollypop, and a picture of his favorite stuffed animal. It was a cow named moo moo. Soo original! Well, he was a baby.
Then, I put in a picture of me and Laurence, with a coded message I could never understand and a blue petal taped on the back. Zane put in a picture of him and Aph as princesses. And Vlad had put in a gold band promise ring. Huh, wonder who he promised something to.
But still, memories flooded me!

In high school or college...I can't remember! Anyways, I made a promise to someone. A...close friend per say. This promise ring was hers actually. I promised to always be there for her. But I-i failed. Well, I guess you could say it was "just a game!" But, that game...it was my life. Days in Etacerra? Something like that, I don't know. I haven't played in AGES! My friend sent me the promise ring after her and her fiancé broke it up, they had too many differences. I think her name was...Rune? In the game anyways. She only ever told ME her real birth name. Once she was 18, she actually did change it on the documents to RUNE. She loved that name...and I secretly loved her.
Rune, I miss talking to you. Could you ever give me a second chance? I'll try better! I-I don't know, school and work had overwhelmed me! But...I'm free soon. Please Rune, text back!
