Chapter 33: Christmas Shopping

Jade's POV

So after facetiming my mom and dad, I took a shower and wore some white skinny jeans and a black T-shirt that says 'LIVE' on it pairing up with my white converse. I applied my usual make up. I curled my hair and pulled out a black and white scarf and wear it as a hairband. I took my wallet and iphone and put it on my pocket before heading out the door and locking it ... I miss Max though.

I took a bus since my car is in New York. I went to the groceries to buy sone stuff for christmas ... After getting all the ingredients, I went to the giftshop to buy presents for all of them ..

It was heavy ... geez ... I don't think I can carry this all so I took a taxi and went back home ... at last...

I put on my apron and pulled out all the ingredients for a rainbow cake ... I'm gonna make it delicious. I've learned this recipe from my dad. He's a chef. So first, I made thin cake batters that were 6 colors and baked it in the oven. I also started making the frosting. I decided to make butter cream for the filling. The cake was baked so I brought it out the oven and let it cool down. I prepared all the things I needed for putting the icing and some decorations on it .. The cake was round. I decorated it how I wanted it to and it was cute... I was suppose to make a chocolate cake but I decided that it was Christmas so I had to make it colorful on the inside of the cake ^_^

I still haven't changed my clothes. I put the cake inside the refrigerator. There were excess ingredients and I don't wanna waste it... What should I do with it ... maybe I should just make oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and give it to Calum together with the watch that I'll give as a gift for him ..

I made the mixture of chocolate chip cookies before pouring in some oatmeal. I put it on a baking tray in small piles ... When I was done puttin them in th tray, I started putting bigger chocolate chips on top of every cookie just to mek them more attractive. Once again, I vrought it to the oven and baked it. I washed everything I used and out it back on their places. The cookie was baked so I pulled it out and left it on the counter so it could cool down. After that, I pulled out a jar in the kitchen cabinet and washed it very well and wioing it dry .. After a few minutes, I started filling the jar with the oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. I tied up a red ribbon on it and placed it on the table. I took off my apron and went to the living room ... I placed the stuff that I bought on the table to start wrapping ... I had gifts for everyone. For Nicole, Rica, Aleisha, Luke, Michael, Ashton, Mali, Mr. and Mrs Hood and of course Calum ... I decided to wrap him up a Black watch. It was expensive though... haha I reall don't know how to budget money but I do know how to budget my time.

It was 10:30 when I finished wrapping ... I was too tired to change and go to my bed so I think I passed out on the couch ...

Calum's POV

So I woke up... it's December 24 ... A few more hours and it's Christmas in 12:00... I showered and changed before taking my wallet. Michael's going to pick me up. He's going to help me pick a gift for Jade. I already bought gifts for everyone but I have no idea what to get Jade... I heard a horn outside the house and saw that it was Michael. I head out the door and went inside his car. We high-fived and he started driving.

"So, what are you getting her?" Michael asked me. "Help me..." I said as he smiled and parked at tge parking lot of the mall... We went inside the mall and we started going eveeywhere. I reall don't have an idea.

"Cal, I think you should start with this..." Michael said out of the blue pointing on a box... It kinda looked like a lunch box. Bout this was for gift wrapping... Michael took my wallet from my pocket and bought the box... Geez. He gave me back my wallet amd gave me the box. "What am I suppose to do with this, dude???" I asked and he put his arm around my shoulder. "You'll see.... Just take whatever you think she can use that will fill up a memory within her."

Ok,... I think Mikey's right...

I saw a black T-Shirt that says 'ROCK PRINCESS' and bought it.

I saw a Thick light blue Diary and bought it together with a cute puppy pen.

I saw a cute picture frame that says Best Friends on it.. It was Purple. I bought it.I printed our best picture when we were in high school. I was wearing a red shirt, black Jacket,black skinny jeans and black and white vans with my hair up in a quiff and she was wearing a purple tank top, black skinny jeans, lack and white keds... Her hair was long in that time. She never curls. She was wearing a light make up... This picture has been took by my mom. It was on my birthday at the hotel. She was sitting beside me and we smiled. It was cute.

I saw a silver charm bracelet and bought it.

I saw a Snow Globe of London and bought it.

I took all of what I had boight in the gift wrapping corner... They wrapped it and Michael took me home... "Uh... Thanks, Michael. I couldn't have done it without you..." I said smiling at my bestfriend... "Sure thing, mate." He smiled... "Oh! uh... Can you take me to Jade's ... I wanna see her today since I didn't see her yesterday." I asked him politely ... "Oh Cal ... fine." he said and I ran to the house putting the gift on my bedside table and ran back to Michael's car after telling my goodbyes to my family. He drove to Jade's house and he parked... We both went to her door and knocked... no answer. "You think she's home?" Michael asked... "I don't know." I answered him and this time, Michael knocked... Oh yeah... doorbell... I pressed it and the door opened revealing a 'just woke up and sleepy Jade' ... "What?!" she said in rude but sleepy tone. "Nice to see you too." I said before Michael and I came in. "Thanks for the sunshine." says Michael. "You look terrible. You need to look beautiful later for Christmas Eve but I guess you didn't have any beauty sleep." I said as me and Michael sat down on the couch. "Shut up. I'm not that kind of girl who cares about her looks so much." she said before laying on the couch again. "Wow! so, mamy presents. You stayed up all night wrapping gifts?" I asked her before standing up and checking out her wrapping. "I also made a rainbow cake to bring to your house later." She said and I just smiled at her. "Are you guys hungry? I'll make some sandwiches." Jade says standing up ... "Actually, Calum would like to pick you and Nicole up so we could go out and eat...." Michael said and I glanced up at him and widened my eyes at him and he just smiled at me. It was suppose to be just me and Jade... "Why don't we just order some and let's eat here and just pick Nicole up. I'm too lazy to prepare right now and I'm still sleepy..." Jade said.

"ok .. I'll just give you guys some "alone time" while I go pick Nicole up and we can go eat sonewhere." Michael said quoting the alone time withbhis fingers. With that, he said his goodbye leaving me and Jade behind.

"Want some ice cream?" Jade asked me and I just shook my head in disagreement. " You know ice cream shouldn't be the first thing you eat when you wake up. I'll make you some simole dish... Maybe eggs and bacon. Wait here." I said standing up and going to the kitchen.

I do cook ... but I just cook simple dishes like these ... Jade layed down on the couch again ... I swear this brat has a lazy personality. Geez.. She should be thankful that I love her that's why I do this kind of stuff for her ... I finished cooking her breakfast and I walked to the couch to clal her but she's passed out ... again. I sat down beside her and shaked her. "Wake up. It's time to eat." I said to her and she spun around facing the opposite side. "Mmmm... still sleepy." she said and I shaked her again. "C'mon... " I mumbled again and smiled to myself. "5 more minutes, baby." She said my eyes widened... what did she just call me? "I just smiled though. "Don't let me get the water bucket." I said and she sat up right away and walked to the table... She started eating peacefully. I can't believe she's too lazy to change in her pajamas. Her hair was still messy... I followed her and got her a glass pf milk. She ate and ate.
