Everlasting Love

Chapter 5

Hiccup

Was Toothless right? Was I meant to be Astrid's everlasting love? What can I do to defeat a Wizard like Drago? I was thinking in the castle when I heard a voice said,

"Hiccup? Are you all right?"

I turned to the person who was calling me and it turns out to be Fishlegs!

"Oh, hi, Fishlegs." I replied to him.

Fishlegs asks, "Hiccup, where did you go? Stoick was asking me to find you. It seems important."

I thought about Astrid's spell and I did promise that I would do anything in my power to undo the spell.

"It's kind of hard to explain at the moment, Fishlegs. You have to believe me." I said.

Fishlegs gave me a look. "Hiccup, we've been friends as long I can remember. You can tell me anything."

I sighed, "Fine! But we need to go to the Castle Library."

Fishlegs

I still don't get it.  Why we have to go to the Library? Is it something he has seen to make something so secret that Stoick doesn't have to know about?

Hiccup looks around if anyone was watching us and closes the door behind him.

"Ok, spill." I said, looking at the Servant.

Hiccup sighs, "I know where Astrid is."

"Great!" I said, but Hic shook his head.

"No, it's not that great, Fishlegs." He tells me.

"What do you mean, Hiccup?" I asked, worried.

He sighs, "Astrid's in trouble. Have you ever hear a wizard named Drago?"

I gasp in horror.

"What? Does that name rang any bell to you?" He asks, looking at my expression.

"Afraid so. Drago was once the Royal Wizard of Berk. But he was so devious and evil and wanted to rule the kingdom, Stoick banished him from the Kingdom, never step into the kingdom ever again." I explained. "But I still don't understand something. Why did he come back after all these years?"

Hiccup got angry, "He wanted to marry the Princess, so he can rule."

"Great, that's a real comforting answer. Should we tell the King?" I ask.

"No! No one should know about this. Not even the King." Hiccup said.

"But Stoick is the King! He can save the day, you know." I replied.

"I promised Astrid I would help, and I'm not breaking that promise." He said.

I groaned, "Why I do I always go with you whenever there is trouble?"

Hiccup shrug, "I guess that it's a bad habit of mine."

Astrid

I was washing my hands when I felt a familiar breeze came in.

"Well, well. Look who decided to come back." I said sarcastically.

Toothless rubbed his head at me.

"Sorry about ditching ya, Astrid. I was talking to Hiccup." He explains.

"Talking to Hic? Why?" I asked curiously.

"Well, he needs to believe in himself. He was having doubts on himself." He replies.

"He's been like that as long I can remember. He never talk about it, but I can tell he misses his mother back in the village." I said.

"Wow, I didn't realize that must been hard on him." He said in awe.

"It's my duty as a Princess to make sure everyone is happy, including Hic." I sigh.

As Toothless was about to reply, he pushes me aside and got himself hurt!

"Toothless!" I cried in horror.

Laughter filled in the air as Drago reveals himself.

"You!" I snarled.

"Yes, me. I will hurt you, Princess." I gasp as I fear the worse, a shield came between me and Drago!

"Back off!" I turned to see who rescued me and Toothless.

Hiccup was there and with a boy I never met.

"Hiccup?" I asked.

He slide down to me and shield me.

"You ok, Astrid?" He asks.

"I will be back for you, boy. And this time you'll wouldn't be able to save her."

Hic sighs and I hugged him.

"Thank you." I said.

"No problem." He replies and turns to Toothless.

"Hey, Toothless, you all right, bud?"

"A little bit of magic wouldn't hurt me." He laughs, but I looked at his tail.

"Toothless?" I began to point at his tail.

The boy replied, "He hit your tailfin, and you can't fly!"

"It's a sacrifice I have to make." Toothless said, looking at me.

Hiccup and I looked at him sadly. Then a cough was heard.

"Oh, right. Fishlegs, meet Princess Astrid. Astrid, this is Fishlegs, my friend in the castle."  Hic introduces.

Fishlegs bow, "It's an honor to meet you, your highness."

I smiled, "Fishlegs, you don't have to bow, and you can call me Astrid."

"Ok. So, what we do now?" Hiccup asks.

I looked surprised.

"We?"  I repeated.

Hiccup smiles at me.

"You can't do everything on your own, Milady."
