Chapter 10

Hiccup

We let go of the kiss and see Drago's powers are draining!

"What's happening to me?" Drago asks.

Toothless came towards us.

"Like Hiccup said, "Love is stronger than Darkness." He was right, and he just have to believe in himself that he was Astrid's everlasting love, and their love for each other broke Astrid's spell."

"I didn't know that!" I said in total awe.

Toothless smiles, "Well, I could've told you that sooner, but I decided to let you to discover that yourself, Hic, and you did."

I nudged my friend on the shoulder, "Gee, thanks."

Drago was disappearing, "No! I can't be beaten by a peasant boy! No!"

And just like that, he was gone!

"Where you think he go?" Astrid asks, holding into my hand.

"I don't know, Astrid, but if he does come back, I'll protect you." I replied.

"Can someone please tell us what is going on?!?" Stoick demands.

Toothless, Fishlegs, Astrid and I exchanged looks at one other.

"Should we tell them?" Fishlegs asks me.

"We did promised not to tell anyone what happened, remember?" I asked.

"Yeah, but Hiccup, they deserve to know the truth." Astrid points out, "Besides, we have a ball to go to."

I smiled, "Will you be my date for the ball, Milady?"

Astrid smirks at me and gave me a kiss on the cheek, "Wouldn't missed it for the world, Hic."

Stoick

We walked back to the castle and the whole village was there, wearing their outfits for the ball.

"Oh, well, it seems like you found Hiccup and Astrid." Gobber said, grinning.

"Indeed we did, old friend. It looks like Hiccup did most of the work finding her, though. I'm not sure how, but something changed between them."

Astrid came down the stairs with Hiccup, and she wears the dress I had seen before when Drago was defeated. She also put her hair into a braid.

"Astrid." I said in awe.

"Daddy! You're embarrassing me in front of the whole kingdom!" She said, blushing of her appearance.

"Aw, Milady, your Dad is right, you do look beautiful either you're a dragon or human."

"Well? Are you going to tell us or what?" I asked the young adults with curious state.

Astrid said, "Well..."

Astrid, Toothless, Fishlegs and Hiccup told the story of how Astrid got casted under a transformation spell by Drago and how Hic enlisted help from Fishlegs. Astrid also admitted of the secret tunnels inside the castle.

"Wow, so Hiccup you rescued Astrid all by yourself and you promised not to say anything? That's quite a story." I said.

Hiccup was in total embarrassment and rubs his neck.

"Well... if Toothless and Fishlegs didn't help me in believing in myself, Astrid would've stayed as a Nadder forever."

"What was that, Hic?" Astrid said, raising an eyebrow at him.

"Nothing!" Hic replies. I'm glad that those two are a young couple now.

"Astrid, can I have this dance?" Hic asks my daughter.

"What took you so long to ask?" She asks him.

Toothless

I smiled at the young couple.

"So, is there any special person in your life?" someone asks me.

I turned to see Fishlegs standing beside me.

"Fishlegs, you startled me." I said.

"Well?" He asked.

"I guess. But it's a long time ago." I replied.

"C'mon, Toothless. You'll find that special someone like Hiccup does with Astrid."

"I guess you're right." I smiled.
