Everlasting Love

Chapter 9

Hiccup

I continued to fight for Astrid.

All the memories we had as children, her laughter, her smile, her comfort, rages inside me and I can't stop.

"Hiccup!" Toothless cries as he tries to stop me from fighting Drago, but the king holds the Night Fury back.

"This is Hiccup's fight." The King told the Night fury.

"But Hiccup..." Fishlegs began to say.

"Will be fine. He started this battle with Drago and he alone has to finished it."

"I hope Hiccup know what he is doing." Toothless said, nervously.

Valka

I see my son, fighting. He looks so angry and it rages him to win back his life, like it depends on it.

"You looked worried." 

I turned to the person who was talking to me and it was no other than the King himself.

"Your Highness! You scared me." I said to him.

He chuckles of my response.

"Call me Stoick, please." He said.

"Ok, Stoick. I'm nervous about all of this." I explained.

"Hiccup will be fine. I seen him swordfight before." He smiles.

Fishlegs and the Night Fury looked at him in total surprise.

"Y-you have?" Fishlegs ask.

"Yes, I had been watching him, practicing in the field when he was twelve."

"You must been lucky to know him well. I forced him to live with you, and it's seems like I don't know him."

"And you will, Val, count on it." Stoick comforts me.

As I was about to reply, Hiccup got hurt and fell on top of Astrid!

"No!" I yelled.

Toothless

It can't be over. It can't be!

Drago laughs, "You see? Darkness always wins!" He turns around and raises his wand towards Stoick and Hiccup's mother.

"I will destroy you and the boy's mother." Drago said.

"Like that's going to happen!" Fishlegs said, protecting them.

I looked at Hiccup and Astrid's hands. They were holding one other.

"Whoa."

Magic swirl around them and when it was over, Astrid and Hiccup opens their eyes.

"H-Hiccup?" Astrid whispers.

Astrid

I see Hiccup was in top of me, and I am not a Nadder anymore.

"H-Hiccup?" I whispered to him.

"Astrid!" He said, and embraces me in a tight hug.

"Your dress." Hiccup said.

I looked at it and he was right. The dress was definitely different than the dress I put on. It symbols of the color of my dragon form.

"No, that's impossible!" Drago said, in total shock that we were alive.

"Believe it, Drago." Hiccup said.

As he was about to set his wand on us, it begins to glow.

"What's happening?" Dad asks.

"The symbol of Everlasting Love." Toothless explains.

"Love is stronger than Darkness." Hiccup said.

He grabs me closer to him and kisses me on the lips!

I dreamed of this for a long time, not knowing it was Hiccup making the first move.
