My dear Lord Jesus
O Such a time of trial
I am going through indeed

Deserted like in a desert
Heated like in an oven
Rejected like an outcast

Deep as in a pit
Low as in a valley
Pressed as in a winepress

Even though my soul feels dejected
As in a vast wilderness
I learn to heed not the sorrow of the soul

But in faith I look to You, Jesus
Focussing entirely on Your Will
My eyes firmly fixed on You
Living by the spirit instead of the soul

O Holy Spirit, my Lord
My comforter and closest companion
Constantly with me residing within

There is no greater hope than in You, Lord
No mightier hand than Yours
No perfect faithfulness than Yours

I completely believe and trust in You, Lord
For I know that You love me
With such abounding Grace and Mercy

You lift me out of the pit
You bring me through the valley
You restore and refresh my spirit

You mould me in the wilderness
Teaching me with such patience
Transforming me into Your Likeness

I praise and worship You
O my Magnificent King
Forever and ever
For Your Honour and Glory

I am eternally grateful
For my life rests entirely in You
Embracing Your Joy and Victory
