New Year Ahead

What does the new year entail?
Will I know before it comes?
Will I be ready for what comes my way?
Will I uphold the Name of my Lord?
O I do not want to wallow in sorrow
Let the past be forgotten
Let me strive ahead
Towards my God-ordained destiny
Keep me in Your Will, Lord
Steadfast in all that is to be accomplished
Establishing dominion for Your Kingdom
Let Your Authority rule over all
Keep me in Your Grace
That I may be empowered
To be transformed into Your Likeness
And allow my life to please You
Let not any pride come over my life
Keep me humble for You
I want to follow You
All the days of my life
The new year ahead
Will be full of joyous victory
Bringing Honour and Glory to You
In every life and circumstance
Thank You, Lord Jesus
For what You have done
And I look forward to
