Epilogue

Two years later

December 25. The day Viktor Nikiforov dreaded the most. Not only was it his birthday, but also the day, Mikaela, the one woman he had loved from the depths of his heart, had been declared as brain dead. The day they had seen her the last time, before they had buried her a few days later.

Viktor was currently on the way to the Ice Castle in Hasetsu with Yuuri, driving his bike, Makkachin running alongside Yuuri who was jogging beside Viktor's bike. Before they even entered the Ice Castle, they headed to the small memorial beside the street where Mikaela had been hit by a car.

It still hurt Viktor to come to this place, nearly every day, for two years now. He missed her greatly. Carefully, Viktor wrapped his hand around the pendant of the necklace that had once belonged to Mikaela and closed his eyes, paying her his regards, before he headed to the rink alongside Yuuri.

As they entered the rink, after having put on their skates, they already heard music blasting through the sound systems. A song which Viktor knew by heart, because Mikaela had loved it and also had skated to it.

Your name I'll never know
As we get down in the world below
Caught up in an overflow
My hands, your bones.

As they entered, a female figure was on the ice, performing an all too familiar choreography that Viktor knew by heart. Hell, he could even skate that himself!

Wide eyed, you look at me
Set on fire in a silver dream
Spin around, you can feel the breeze
Count one, two, three.

On the three, the woman jumped. A triple lutz, followed by a triple toe. Viktor's eyes widened as he watched the woman skate. This couldn't be. He had to be dreaming. This just couldn't be reality.

And don't you stop the music
Get into it
won't you dance with me?

Find a place and lose it
You can do it
Won't you dance with me?

Yuuri beside Viktor seemed just as shocked to see that all too familiar figure on the ice. Yuuri looked up at Viktor, wanting to check if he was just as shocked as he was and he definitely was. Viktor watched the woman, his mouth hanging open slightly in shock, his eyes widened even more, as the end of the song came, along with the end of the performance.

The woman stood in the middle, one arm raised high and the other followed halfway. The music stopped.

At first, the only thing to be heard, was her panting. Then she heard someone cough. The woman's head whipped towards that direction where the sound had come from and her face held a look of surprise as she came to face the two males.

"Mika?"

Thank you so much for reading and supporting this story.

The picture at the top is one I made myself, it's her costume of her free program in IV. I really love the way it turned out.

As you probably can think to yourself, this story ends here. But I've got another book planned, so don't worry my dear readers, I won't leave you forever with this cliffhanger...or will I?

Lots of love to all those who read, voted and commented on this story! You're the best!

I hope you liked this story and I hope you'll be staying tuned for when I post the next book! I'll tell you here :-)

Thank you so much!

Yours, Tris
