(tell me do you feel me, listen can you hear it? Cave in and believe me, open up and scream it)
Christmas break passed really quickly, and before we knew it the guys had flown to California with their parents to sign their record deal while Kara and I stayed at home and studied for our finals.
The guys were gunna be gone for about a week to make sure everything was right in their contract, so I spent the time I wasn't at school working and studying to keep my mind occupied, as well as going out with Kara. The guys missed my birthday, so I spent the night at Kara's and we made smores and watched scary movies before snuggling and talking for most of the night. "I miss Rian..." She sighed, taking a sip from her hot chocolate.
"It's not the same without the guys around, but I suppose we've gotta get used to it." I said, looking into space and wishing I was with Alex right now.
"I know you miss him Jen." I nodded as Kara carried on "I thought this would be a good way of keeping your mind off it all. Oh! Do you want your present off me and Rian now or wait 'til everyone gets back on the 15th?"
"Nah, I can wait 'til the guys come back." I smiled. Kara was my best girl friend since I'd arrived here in Baltimore. Heck, she was my ONLY girl friend since I'd moved here! I mean, I talked with other girls at school and hung out with the other guys' girlfriends when they'd had them. Kara was the best, and I was glad to have her as my friend because she was always there if I needed her and we were in the same position.

When the bell finally rang at the end of last period, I sighed with relief. The guys were back today, and I couldn't wait to see Alex again, even though he wasn't back until tonight. Miss Evans was teaching us about the breakdown of molecules in some sort of reaction, but I wasn't paying attention, I was just watching the clock tick. She'd asked me a question as it rang, so we all immediately got up and made my way out of the classroom as quickly as possible before she could keep me back for not paying attention.
Kara was waiting outside for me, as we were carpooling together while the guys were away because I hated getting the bus and my mom hated me bringing my car to school. "So...did I just see you staring into space and almost getting caught?" I bit my lip and shrugged.
"I just really, really wanna see him Kara. Hell I wanna see all of them."
She sighed. "I know, I do too."
We made our way down the hall towards the car park, but I couldn't help noticing everyone was staring at me. Did I have something on my face? I shook it off and carried on down the hall to my locker, putting my chemistry books away and getting my bio book out, Kara waiting patiently beside me, looking at the photo that I'd placed in the door of my locker. It was the picture of Alex and I down at the pier, the one that Zack had taken of us many months ago when we first met, the sun setting in the background as our legs hovered above the cold water as we sat on the edge. It was my favourite picture of us, even though we weren't even a couple when it was taken. She took it out to look at it closer, a smile growing on her face before her cell buzzed, and she put the picture back in its place before taking her cell out of her pocket, letting out a little chuckle. "Jen, I'll meet you by the car okay?" She asked, and I looked at her confused. I was only going to be a few more seconds, yet suddenly she seemed impatient and wanted to leave. "...sure?" I said, looking at her suspiciously.
Kara smiled, hugging me tightly before she disappeared down the hall into the sea of Dulany students. I sighed, shook my head and closed my locker, taking my bag off the floor and placing the bio book inside and throwing it over my shoulder, heading for the nearest door out of here. As I made my way down the hallway, people were still staring at me so I began to blush and decided I would try and duck out of one of the side doors to the parking lot, but all of them seemed to be locked or blocked by groups of seniors, which was unusual. This left me one option, which was going out of the main entrance. I kept my head down as I walked, trying to ignore the looks I was getting off my peers until I found the door, opening it and looking up, which is when I saw him.
