Her six protectors

Chapter 5

Aphmau POV

"Hey Jessica, can you please come to the throne room. I have a few people here to see you." I hear my mother say. I put my tiara on my 5 year old self before going down the stairs. There are my six best friends.

"Guys! I haven't seen you since last week. How have you been?" I ask them. They were training to become my protectors after I saved their lives.

"We got a day off to hang out with you. Your mother helped us as well." Sky says, smiling at me. I run over to my mother, Irene.

"Thanks mom!" I hug her before running back to my friends, dragging them outside into the garden. "So what did you learn?" I ask, excited.

"We learned how to use our magic properly! Well kind of. We are still trying to learn how to properly use it." Red says. He holds his hand out, showing a bright red aura. He uses his magic to carry a flower from the ground to us. He hands it to me.

"Aww thanks Red!" I say hugging him. Everybody joins in the hug. We spend the rest of the day playing.

"Hey Aphmau-Senpai, wake up. It's time to go to the maid cafe." Kawaii-Chan shakes me. I groan before opening my eyes. She smiles before leaving, letting me get ready. So I quickly have a shower and put my normal clothes on before walking downstairs to see Katelyn and KC sitting at the table, eating. I join them.

"Morning Aph. Did you get a good sleep?" Katelyn asks, concern in her voice. I nod.

"Never better." I say, smiling at her. She smiles back.

"Well nothing has come up on the news about a murder or anything." Katelyn says.

"That's because I wiped everybody's memories about that restaurant and everything that has to do with it." Sky says, walking in. I raise an eyebrow at him.

"And how did you manage that?" I ask. He just shrugs.

"I can use my magic to send a sound frequency through a large area. I can erase memories or control people. I can also read minds." He says, sitting down next to me.

"Wait. So you can read my mind!?" I squeak. He shakes his head.

"That charm around your neck prevents any magic to be used on you. Anything like mind control cannot be used on you. Only if it's something that cannot be prevented can hit you like fire attacks." He explains. I sigh in relief, eating my food that KC places in front of me. Soon, I am finished.

"Well I have to go to work now. We will be back later." I say before grabbing my purse and walking out of the door with KC following me. We both get into my car. Luckily, somebody cleaned the blood off of the seats. The only bad thing is that my bag was in my office when it was set on fire so now I don't have the money I kept in there for emergencies. Soon we arrive and we both walk to the door to see that the shop is closed. We walk in anyway to see all of the staff sitting around the table, including the manager.

"Oh you both have arrived. Take a seat." She says. I nod, sitting down. KC sits next to me.

"So why is the shop closed?" One of the workers ask.

"That is what I am going to explain. The shop is going to shut down." At this, everybody gasps. "The only way to keep it up is if I let some of you go. I'm sorry but Kawaii-Chan, Aphmau, I'm sorry but you will have to find a new job." She says before saying a few other names. KC is crying while I'm hugging her, patting her back.

"It's okay. We can find a different place to work at." I say. She just nods with her head in my chest. We both stand up with the others who were fired and we all leave. She sits down in my car while I go onto her phone, searching up a new place to work. As soon as I do, I get in the car and drive us towards another maid cafe that is looking for new workers. This one also has men working here.

"Where are we Aphmau-Senpai?" KC asks, opening her eyes and looking up.

"We are at a new maid cafe. We are going to see if we can get a job." I say before getting out of the car, dragging her out with me. She brightens up quickly, hugging me tightly. I smile in reply.

"Thank you so much! Kawaii-Chan will be great full if she gets this job!" She says before grabbing my wrist, dragging me into the building. I don't think she notices that the shop was closed. As soon as we enter, somebody comes out of the staff only door. An old lady. She had a tag labelled manager on her shirt.

"Hello? Can I help you?" She asks. She looks at Kawaii-Chans years face. "Oh dear, take a seat. I will go get you some tea." She says before walking into the kitchen. I sit KC down at one of the comfy seats before turning towards the kitchen and walking in. "Hello dear." She says, turning around with a tray. I hold the door open for her.

"I'm sorry for the intrusion. We didn't see the sigh that said it was closed." I say, sitting next to KC.

"It's alright. So what's wrong?" She asks. We both explain the story to her, including the part of how being a maid is Kawaii-Chans dream job and how I also need a job because I was fired from both my jobs.

"And that's the story." I finish up. The lady, Martha, smiles at me.

"How would you both like to work with me?
