Her six protectors

Chapter 11

Aphmau POV

Soon, me and Vylad both see the entrance of the town, making us cheer.

"We arrived! Let's go to the cafe to see if my car is there. It should be close." I say. It's dark so we make sure nobody is around before walking to the cafe. My theory was correct. My car is still here and I luckily have my keys so we both get in and I drive us to my house. The lights are on in the house so we walk straight in to instantly be pinned to the ground by Sky and Max.

"Shadow knights!" Red growls.

"Wait! The tracker is responding to the girl." Jin says, hovering the machine over me. Max gets off of me and I take off my wig.

"Jess!" Sky hugs me. I pat his back.

"Hey guys. Do you mind if we sit down? We have been walk by for hours." I say. We both walk into the living room to see Garroth, Dante and Laurence.

"Vylad!" Garroth shouts, running to his little brother and pulling him into a hug while Dante and Laurence walk up to me.

"Thank Irene you are okay. I heard what happened from Katelyn." Dante says while Laurence looks at my armour in disgust.

"Glad that you are safe but why are you wearing the armour?" He asks. I shrug.

"I couldn't simply just leave without a disguise. He was very persistent that I stay and rule the nether." I explain before taking off the chest plate. It was warm. Suddenly, I am tackled to the ground by two girls.

"Aphmau! Thank Irene you are okay! Why would you do that? That was dangerous!" Katelyn shouts while KC clings to me. I pay her head.

"I'm fine you guys. He wouldn't hurt me anyway. I'm meant to rule his kingdom after all." I explain, smiling. Jin walks up to me and starts checking my whole body before gently taking my wrists and wrapping them up.

"Wouldn't hurt you? You have bruises all around your wrists." Jin exclaims. I just laugh awkwardly.

"Well I was chained to a bed by a high school enemy and then dragged into the room with my father. I persuaded him to let me out of them though." I say before laughing, remembering what happened. Sky looks confused before walking over to me and placing his fingers on my forehead. He let's go a minute later, falling to the ground in a fit of laughter before giving me a high five. I then walk over to Vylad who is still talking to Garroth.

"Like I said, if I tell you then you will be in danger." Vylad says, making Garroth stomp his foot on the floor in frustration.

"He has a point Garroth. If we told you any of this that is happening then you would be in danger a long with Zane. These people are dangerous." I back up Vylad who looks at me, nodding as a thanks before turning to his older half brother.

"Fine! But if Vylad is hurt or any of you guys then I will blackmail you to tell me!" Garroth exclaims.

"That is if you can find a way to blackmail us." I smirk at him before grabbing Vylads wrist and dragging him over to my six divine protectors.

"You must be Vylad then. Thank you for saving Jess for us." Sky thanks him.

"No problem. She did most of the work anyway." Vylad says. The three of us laugh while the other five look at us with confused faces.

"Good time." I sigh, wiping the tear from my eye.

"I'm not going to ask. Anyway, you should probably get some sleep. It's late and we start working tomorrow." Jin says. I nod before going to a cupboard and grabbing a pillow and blanket before handing to Vylad.

"You will have to sleep on the couch. That's the only place since the guys have taken the basement." I say before going upstairs and into my room, locking the bathroom door and taking a shower. As soon as I'm done, I get changed into the spare cloths I always keep in there just in case I forget to sort  some out. I walk into my bedroom to see nothing but darkness.

"Hello?" I shout, scared. Suddenly that shadow is back, just staring at me. It's the same one that showed me my greatest fear. I try to scream but I can't move. I can't speak. I can only breathe.

"Jessica. You are in great danger. You must stay with your protectors at all costs. Never leave their sight for a second. Take this." Suddenly, a black gem in the shape of a heart appears, floating into my now outstretched hands. It turns into a necklace and my arms move themselves, making me put it in.

"What is this?" I ask.

"The black heart and the power your father is searching for. Protect it with your life." The shadow says. Suddenly, I am shown many places of the world, all on fire and people screaming. I then see all of my friends and family, including my mother, chained together and working, those who stop being tortured by the shadow knights. The last scene shows my father sitting on a throne with me on a throne next to him. Unconscious.

"Look my dear daughter. Look at the destruction you have caused." My father says before laughing evilly. I don't even flinch as I stay unconscious.

"Is this... the future?" I ask, looking up at the shadow. He nods before disappearing, saying one last thing to me.

"Sweet nightmares."
