Chapter 33

Aphmau POV

"We are here to, uhh, move the prisoner to a more secured cell. We found him picking at the locks." I tell them, hiding the wig behind my back and out of sight.

"Why do you look familiar? Anyway, do you need any help?" One of the guys asks. He's wearing a mask. Oh my Irene don't tell me...

"No thank you Zane." I 'roughly' grab Jin before leading him down the hall. Zane is being controlled by the dark aura as well.

"What was Zane doing here? When did he become a shadow knight?" Vylad asks, a little heartbroken. I guess they are still technically brothers.

"My guess would be in high school. He did hang around with Zenix and Sasha a lot." Laurence replies. I place my hand on Vylad's shoulder.

"I will help him. I promise that your big brother will be safe." I tell him before stepping away and holding onto Jin. "You guys head to the portal while I teleport us away. Stay safe and don't get caught." I tell them before teleporting is both to the Irene dimension. I close my eyes.

"Wait what?" I open my eyes to see Laurence and Vylad but no Jin. Suddenly, Zane runs up to us as we look around.

"Where is the prisoner? What happened? Last thing I saw was a flash of light and he disappeared." He asks us, panicking.

"W-we don't know!" I exclaim, trying to play along. The guys are what I am doing.

"He was with us a second ago, sir!" Vylad says. Wait, sir?

"Finally! Somebody realises my new leader position. Since Sasha and Zenix both betrayed us, I was appointed the new leader of the army." Zane says, bragging a little bit. "Now search the perimeter for him. You there! Girl, you come with me. We will check near the portal." He points to me.

"Yes sir!" I salute him before running with him down the stairs, sending a reassuring look to the boys before turning the corner. We soon reach the portal and start running around, searing for basically nothing. "He's not here!" I shout, still putting up my panicking act.

"Follow me through the portal. If he decides to jump through then we can block him off there." He says before jumping through. I follow him out and we both run out of the cave.

"Sir, you do realise we won't find him out here right?" I tell him. He turns around to me and sighs.

"Aph, what are you doing here? It's dangerous for you. The shadow lord is not going to stop looking for you." Suddenly, he takes out a bottle and opens it, all of the darkness around him going into it. I have never been so confused in my life.

"I thought you was under the spell?" I ask him. He walks over to a rock and sits down on it.

"I use to be but I had some help. The shadow lord is still in there and is fighting that darkness. He hasn't given up so neither will I. I've been trying to get more information as the new army leader but it's harder then I thought." He says, making me also sigh.

"So what do we do now? My friends are already in there trying to get information. It's gonna be harder for them to get back out isn't it? At least they have their teleportation devices." I said that they could only teleport into the nether but they can teleport out. It just takes much more physical energy, takes a long time and breaks. It also has a cool down time to use it so they shouldn't be able to use it just yet either.

"Well let's just hope they don't get caught and have to use that. I have to get back into the nether but if I pass any of the guys then I will give them a teleportation device. It's a one time use but it will get them back safely." Zane stands up and walks to the portal.

"Thank you Zane. I will see you at home?" I ask him. He nods and waves before stepping through the portal. It's now the waiting game. I don't like this game. I wait a few hours before my phone goes off. Good thing as well because it was pitch black out here because it's the middle of the night.

Hey where are you? We are all back at the house now except for you and Jin -Sky

Jin isn't back either? He is probably trying to get his energy back from being stuck in the nether so he can teleport.

I will start coming back now. It's going to take a few hours though since I'm at the portal so don't wait for me and Jin is probably still in the Irene dimension trying to get his energy back to teleport. -Jess

Why do I have to walk? It's gonna probably take a day since Vylad isn't here to show me the shortcuts and the actual way back. I might get lost a few times as well from the darkness of the night. I can't even make them collect me because they can't drive except Ross but he has no car and driving means HR has to go through O'khasis. Great! Now there are some shadow knights coming out of the portal and are charging at me with daggers!

"Wait! Can we talk this through first?" One of them strikes at my chest so I block him with my Irene sword but I don't see the one below me cutting both of my ankles, making it sore to stand and fall over.

"Good job! Now lets bring her back in." The first jer- i mean shadow knight said. As soon as their guard is down, I knock them both out and drag them to the portal before taking out my purse and grabbing a marker, make up... Oh and some rope! What? Every girl needs to have rope in their bag. Anyway!

"That's what you get for always attacking my legs and making it harder for me to walk!" I exclaim before putting all of my stuff away. I then get my bandages out and sort the top of my ankles out before taking out my phone. Its dead. How is it dead! I was just using it a second ago! Can this day get any worse? Suddenly, a storm comes to answer my question. I guess its time to walk home.
