Chapter 25

One day early because I love you guys.

Aphmau POV

"Hey Jess, you okay?" Red asks, walking up to me. I shrug.

"I don't feel injured." I reply to him.

"What in the nether is going on here!?" Sky shouts, scaring me.

"Geez, don't care me like that!" I exclaim.

"Scare you? Scare you? You just fell through the roof and the first floor and I scared you?" Sky shouts back. I shrug, making him sigh. "Can you please explain to me what is going on?"

"Well we were flying above the clouds but then we fell?" I say, more of a question then a statement.

"Then how come Red could only use his magic on himself?" Jin asks. We shrug.

"I told him it would be okay." I tell him.

"And how did you fly here?" Barney asks.

"Scales flew us." I say, holding up the backpack.

"Scales? Jess, that's a backpack." Barney says. Suddenly, Scales pops his head out of the bag, making Barney fall backwards. "Ahh!"

"Barney, meet Scales. Scales, this is Barney, Sky and Jin." I point to the guys as I say their name.

"Please don't tell me you kidnapped the wyvern..." Jin asks. I shake my head.

"He flew us back." I inform them. I hear something behind me so I turn around to see Red repairing all of the damage I caused, sighing in relief when the last piece of the roof is placed.

"That is hard work. I'm shocked you did that much damage and didn't get injured at all. Nice landing by the way." Red high fives me. I grin at him.

"I know. So anyway what do we do now?" I ask, turning to the guys.

"Well since you have the scales, we can tick that off of the list." Jin says before ticking the piece of paper he has on a clipboard. I go over to him and look over his shoulder to see what was written but he moves away before I could. Suddenly, the door is swung open, showing Laurence and Vylad.

"We saw something destroy the roof! Is everybody oka- everything looks normal." Laurence shouts before looking up, confused.

"Red fixed the roof with his magic and the thing that destroyed the roof was me!" I point to Red before pointing to myself and cheering. "The only wound I got today was from when I was bit in the arm by some wyvern. I look down at Scales.

"I apologised! I'm sorry!" He shouts before flying over and looking at the two guys. "They are shadow knights!" He is about to strike at them but I grab him and stuff him in the bag again.

"Good shadow knights. They are helping us save my father." I explain to him.

"A wyvern! Hey do you know anything about Ungrth?" Laurence asks. Scales shakes his head.

"I'm guessing you are the human he left us for? He has been missing for years now. His location is unknown." Laurence looks down, sadness in his eyes.

"Who is Ungrth?" I ask. Laurence looks up at me.

"He's my wyvern. He helped me escape from the nether years ago and he then disappeared. The last thing he told me was that we would see each other when the time is right." Laurence says.

"Wait, you can understand wyverns?" I ask. He nods.

"Since the last time i saw Ungrth." He replies to me. So I'm not the only one then. I'm glad that I'm not the only person who can understand Scales!

"Well anyway, we need to disinfect your wounds Jess. Follow me." Red says before taking my hand and leading me down to the basement infirmary. I'm still shocked at how they built all of this in a day. Red leads me into the infirmary and I see Jin there, already with the equipment.

"What -how -huh?" I ask, looking up the stairs before at Jin again.

"Teleportation." He says before taking off my bandages and cleaning my wound, making me hiss out in pain. "All done!" Jin exclaims, tying up my last bandage.

"Now what do we do?" I ask. Suddenly, Max runs down the stairs, falling into me.

"Where is that squirrel!" He shouts, looking around.

"What did Ross do this time?" I ask, pushing him off of me. He helps me stand up.

"He took my phone!" He explains.

"When did you get a phone?" I ask him. Jin and Red take out their phones. Jin had a purple phone while Red had a... well he had a red phone.

"I thought it would be a good idea for us to be able to keep in contact through this dimensions contact so I took your phone and made us some." Jin says. He then takes out my lilac phone and hands it to me. I make sure it's okay before hugging my phone to my chest.

"Do never touch my baby again." I glare at Jin before flicking my hair in his face as I turn to see Ross in his squirrel form. He doesn't see me so I pick him up by his scarf, it somehow staying around his neck.

"Hey!" He exclaims, trying to get out of my hold.

"Give." I glare at him. He spits Max's orange phone in my hand so I drop him and throw it at Max.

"Eww Ross!" Max shouts before chasing Ross again who is now in his human form, his tail swishing side to side and hitting Max in the face before it disappears. Suddenly, I yawn.

"You should get some sleep. I will get Sky to keep guard." Red says. I nod before going up two sets of stairs and into my bedroom, changing into my pyjamas before getting under the covers. Sky comes in a minute later.

"Goodnight Jess. If the bracelet doesn't work then I will be here to wake you up." He tells me before humming a soft tune, slowly lulling me to sleep.
