He never noticed the way her eyes lit up in ecstasy the minute he stepped into the room.
How the expression vanished as her eyes darted across the room making sure that no one noticed her overly ecstatic joy.
He never noticed the way her smile fell in sadness hearing that he wouldn't be around for the next month.
How he continued to speak, while she sunk in her chair feeling less in the mood to speak to him. Too busy thinking how much she would miss him.
He didn't notice, but oh how she wished he did.
