P.O.V - Third Person

Pete was carrying Patrick's suitcase that they freshly packed together in Patrick's house.

It wasn't very heavy but Pete refused to let Patrick carry it in his condition.

He was still in a lot of pain from the surgery and could barely carry himself never mind his suitcase even though he insisted it was okay and he could carry it.

Things were going pretty well for them so far. They had never been happier than they are now.

It wasn't like a relationship to them, it was more of a friendship. A friendship taken one step further.

"Well, there is a guest bedroom.. but..." Pete smiled sheepishly, trying to drop a hint to Patrick.

Patrick caught on straight away.

He didn't know what to say.

"Yeah.. I know what you mean."

Patrick felt extremely awkward and stupid after saying it.

"Is it okay if I leave your bag in my room then?" Pete said casually, hoping to cover up his embarrassment.

Patrick smiled and nodded

"Mm hm."

That's all Pete wanted to hear.

It'd be nice to cuddle up to someone after so long of being alone.

A few hours passed and Pete and Patrick were sat crossed legged on the sofa, playing Mario Kart on the Wii.

"Don't you think about overtaking me Stump." Pete said cautiously, laughing a bit as he said it.

"Oops, too late." Patrick grinned, speeding ahead of Pete.

They played games for hours until it was almost 3am.

Patrick was well used to being up at this time but Pete however never stayed up this long.

"It's three? We've been playing for about five hours and I haven't beaten you in one thing." Pete said, sighing.

"What can I say? You need to sharpen up your skills dude."

Soon enough they decided to head up to bed.

Pete put on his usual pyjama bottoms and took off his shirt, climbing into bed and trying to sleep.

Patrick felt a little nervous even though Pete had his eyes closed to his knowledge.

He stuck on an old t-shirt and some pyjama bottoms and lay down in bed next to Pete, immediately reaching for his phone to check twitter.

"Trick? Whatcha doing?" Pete said sleepily, his face buried into the pillow which slightly muffled his words.

"Just checkin' Twitter. I usually do before bed, sorry."

"Oh no, it's fine I was just.."

"Oh.. okay."

There was an awkward silence while Pete lay awake and whilst Patrick flicked through the endless tweets from his fans.

Eventually he closed Twitter and shut his eyes, dreaming of the new relationship with his best friend.
