*Literally swarmed with new ideas for stories but I'm definitely finishing this first, if I didn't then it never would get finished. I still enjoy writing this! Sorry for the random and infrequent updates.*
P.O.V Patrick
Day four of the tour and I must say.. it's not going fantastically.
We've already played in London, Cardiff and Liverpool so that means 28 shows left. It's a European tour so we're travelling far. Most of it not in a tour bus. We finish in Minsk and then go back to Chicago for a month's rest, before going round the states.
I can't sleep at the minute. It's probably about three in the morning and everyone else, as far as I can tell are sound asleep.
I hopped out of my bunk and slouched into the lounge, making sure I closed the door carefully. Kate, our manager's passed out on the sofa again. It's the second time this tour already.
I had a quick look at her notes which she seemed to be in the midst of writing. She woke up with a start when I attempted to take from her grasp.
"I'm awake! Oh, hey Patrick." She rubbed her eyes and pushed her long blonde fringe from her eyes. "Hey.. what are you writing?" She looked confused for a few seconds before looking down at the mass of pages unclipped from her file spread out on her lap.
"Supporting bands." She yawned, rounding them into a neater pile.
"We're into the fourth day though, isn't it a bit late?"
"That's why I'm getting bands we already know, or trying to anyway." Kate smiled and handed me a few handwritten suggestions. "Want to pick a few while everyone's asleep?"
I nodded and stared intently and the list. Kate was serious, she had actually planned bands we not only knew but also were good friends with some.
Among the scrawl of writing scattered around the page were bands like Panic! At The Disco, All Time Low, My Chemical Romance (Which had been crossed out.), Twenty-One Pilots, Paramore and Cobra Starship.
"My Chemical Romance?" I asked with a raised eyebrow. "I forgot they'd broken up."
"Ah.." I sighed, returning my attention to the page. "Aren't these bands all a little too popular to be a support act?"
"It'll bring a larger crowd." She shrugged, twirling a pen between her nimble fingers. "But bands like Paramore wouldn't come for a support act."
"Patrick, I'll get it sorted sweetie. Now pick?"
I hummed and wavered my finger above each band. Panic! Would be pretty easy to get.. we're all very close.
Cobra Starship would be fun. But so would Twenty-One Pilots. All Time Low would probably jump at the chance, since they seem to be quite keen on us. I'd love to hang out with Paramore again too. I wonder if we could just.. get all of them?
No that's ridiculous. "Chosen yet?" Kate asked, sounding a bit impatient. I shook my head. "Okay how about this? We pick maybe two for the first half of Europe? Then two for the second half and have one for the states? "
"Could we not just bring them all? Let them play on different nights?"
She hesitated and bit the end of her pen absentmindedly. "Why don't we ask everyone what they think tomorrow? Panic! At The Disco will be no problem to get. Pete's very close with Gabe so I'm sure Cobra Starship wouldn't be difficult. All Time Low wouldn't be hard either. You've toured with Twenty-One Pilots and Paramore before."
I sighed, still pondering. "Deadline?"
"Next week at most if you can." Kate said, yawning immensely.
