"Class settle down! We have a new student joining our class today. Let's give her our undivided attention as she introduces herself." my teacher Ms. Trinket said gaining our attention.
"Okay dear, go on" she said gently pushing the new girl forward.
"Hi my name is Onika." she said shyly with an accent.
"O...ni...ka? What kind of name is Onika? And why you talk like that?" I asked gaining laughter from the rest of the class.
"Robert! Be nice" Ms. Trinket scolded.
"Onika is my name, have a problem nappy? " the new girl spat back with a strong accent, taking shots at my braided hair. Causing the class to erupt with more laughter.
you were always quick to defend yourself, that's why I ended up loving you.
"Okay, Okay class settle down, Onika please have a seat sweety. there's an empty desk and chair right beside Robert."

I could never forget the look you gave when you were seated next to me, your eyes held disgust, and you were so furious.
I also remember, during the entire day we went at each others throats, I would say something and you would always have a come back. Don't you find it funny the way our relationship worked?
You remember when that one kid tried to pick on you? I was a mixture of anger and jealousy, I wanted to punch him so hard for picking on you and I was also jealous that he was getting your attention and not me. I remember jumping in to defend you. I remember my exact words...
"Hey! Don't talk to her like that! I'm the only one that can talk to her like that! Not you!" I spoke standing up for Onika.

All the times we got in trouble together. We were like the next Bonnie and Clyde. Do remember our promise? You said we could never forget....
"Rihmeek, I want you to promise me that no matter what we'll always have each others backs." Onika said extending her pinky.
"I promise!" I said locking our fingers together.
"Always and forever?" she asked making sure.
"Always and forever!" I replied kissing our hands then releasing from our hold.

We were always there for each other. We were so close. I was rice and you were white, I was jelly you were peanut butter, I was the key and you were the lock... We were best friends.
Do you remember when everyone thought we were a couple. You said...
"Can't a boy and a girl just be friends without people assuming shit?!?"
But who would've thought, that couple years down the line we would become one? You became the first and the last thing on my mind everyday.
Back then if someone told me that I would fall in love and settle down, I would've laughed in their face. But now there's no doubt, I fell in love with everything about you. When I look into your eyes I would lose every thought, your deep dimples are an abnormality that added to your beauty and your beautiful smile always sent my heart racing.
I loved everything about you, you could do no wrong in my eyes and it was vice versa. Do you remember that time when I never found you guilty? We were in class and we had a presentation...
" Your honour we find the defendant guilty of manslaughter!" Candi shouted going along with the presentation.
"I'm sorry but I'll have to overrule that sentence. I find the defendant not guilty. And all charges are dropped!" I said pounding the gavel on the desk in front of me.
"what the! Meek! We have all the evidence to prove that she's guilty! Plus this isn't apart of the presentation, she's supposed to be guilty!" Kaela shouted.
"Well am sorry, and I don't care my best friend is not guilty and that's final! Case dismissed!" I said laughing pounding the gavel again.
" Mr. Simon, please tell Robert to follow-" Kaela whined before being cut off.
"Oh hush Kaela, am not guilty! The judge already spoke" Nicki laughed pushing her tongue out at her.
We had some crazy funny times together and I wouldn't change it for the world.
"I love you, mí armor. Please don't ever forget me." I said pressing a soft gentle kiss to her forehead, rubbing her cheek before leaving.
