I'm not perfect, I make mistakes, I hurt people. But when I say sorry, I mean it...

"Seriously.... I don't know why I do the shit I do, but I'm sorry Nic." I said gripping the steering wheel.
"You don't know why Meek? Well let me tell you why, because you're too comfortable and you don't appreciate what you have!" she shouted as her voice cracked.

That was the last time I conversed with my wife before the tragedy. That's the last thing we said to each other. A conversation we had on the phone and not face to face. A conversation I wish we never had to have.
I'm currently in my living room sitting flat on the floor. Thinking back on the day I lost my daughter and almost lost my wife. The day my life went into a downward spiral, and it was all my fault.
This was my second bottle of Bacardi 151°. Every time I was left alone in my thoughts and memories started to flood through my head I'd just drink the pain and sorrows away.
I thought about suicide. I wanted to end it all. I thought that there was no more use for me on the earth.
I'm the reason my wife is in a coma under special supervision. I watched as paramedics carefully pulled the unconscious body of my wife from beneath the crushed car. I tried my best to go through every and anyone in my way only to be held back by police officers. I screamed to the heavens but got no answers as tears poured from my eyes.
I'm the reason my daughter is dead. I watched as they lowered her small casket six feet into the earth. I watched as they covered her with dirt, I stood as close as I could to the grave as tears ran down my face and unto the soil.
The two persons I loved and cared about the most were in pain because of me. I wasn't any use anymore. I thought, if my loved ones aren't here why should I be? But I went deeper into my thoughts.
I knew that when Nicki decides to wake from her deep sleep she wouldn't want to have anything to do with me. I also knew that she had gone through a lot, and when she wakes she'd go through a lot more finding out that our daughter is dead. I didn't want to add to her list.
I brought the bottle of Bacardi to my head and consumed what was left inside with one gulp. Taking the bottle from my lips, I wiped my mouth with the back of my hand, and threw the bottle towards the wall, I watched as it shattered into pieces like my life. Bringing my knees up to my chest I rested my arms on them and placed my head down. I cried letting everything out as flashes of the same day played over and over in my head.
Three Months ago/ Before.
"I don't hate you, I just lost all respect for you. I'm a good person to forgive you, but not stupid enough to trust you again. I'll be back tomorrow for my things." she said pulling away from me, wiping her tears, grabbing Abby's bag and leaving the room.
She left the room but I couldn't move. I stood there regretful, feeling stupid and empty. I ran my hand over my head disappointed in myself, in my actions. I stood in place, mentally cursing myself out for a while until I heard the door downstairs slam.
