I'm in a dilemma. My best friend; has a boyfriend, Chris, that is just so... sexy. I know saying that makes me a bad friend but, to be fair, I saw him first.
Around a year ago, Gia and I were hanging out in Shake Shack sharing fries and drinking shakes and that's when I saw him. He looked completely perfect. His hair was died blonde at the time, but it's usually black. I couldn't keep my eyes off of him.
Gia was talking about some dance thing she found online when she asked me, "What are you staring at?"
"Light skin. Burger. 3 o'clock," I said under my breath.
She pretended to drop a napkin and looked at him discretely. "Him?!?" she asked
"Why yes Gia. Say it louder so the chef can hear you." I said sarcastically.
"Mhmmm. He's cute," she said with a wide grin spread across her face.
"I know. That's why I said something."
"I'm gonna say something."
"Wait! No, don't do that," I said nervously
"For what? He can't reject me. I'm Gia Smith. I don't get rejected," she said confidently.
I couldn't do anything. I'm way too timid to start a conversation with someone. Especially with a boy. I watched as she flirted and worked her "magic," as Gia likes to say.
That's something I've always admired about Gia. She's confident, but isn't cocky. She's really sweet, too. She's the complete opposite of me. I' m pretty reserved, laid-back and shy.
Gia brings out a different side of me and I do the same for her. I think that's why we get along so well. Which is why I'm in a dilemma. My friendship with Gia is really important to me and I don't want to mess that up by interfering with her relationship. Even if I did see him first.
