Famous For The Day

        Yesterday, Rihanna’s new video with Gia was released and it was amazing. Gia’s dancing was perfection. There was a scene where Rihanna and the background dancers were dancing in the desert with a fire going off in the back. Plus, Gia got a solo while she was dancing in an abandoned warehouse with smoke everywhere.

          When we got to school today, the spotlight was on Gia. People were asking questions and complimenting her as soon as we walked in.

          “You were amazing!” shouted a random girl.

          “Can I take a picture with you?” asked a boy.

          I wasn’t really intimidated ‘cause I was kinda expecting her to be famous for the day. But, I did feel like Gia was acting a little more cocky than usually. Which is weird ‘cause she’s not a cocky person at all.

          For example, when I sat next to her at lunch she told me if I wanted to sit next to her, I had to fix my hair because she didn’t want me to mess her pictures.

          I didn’t read into because I thought she was just playing around with me. But, when we were walking home with Chris she said it again. She told Chris that he looked “almost famous,” whatever that means. 

          I get it; she wants to absorb this attention for as long as possible. But, she doesn’t have to be so mean about it.
