After I went to the nurse, she sent me home. She told me to refresh my ice when I got home to help the swelling go down.

When I got home, Chris quickly ran to the kitchen to get me more ice. I started crying with the fight replaying in my head.

        “Here you go. What’s wrong?”

“I’ve lost my best friend. My only true friend, I’ve lost her. And for what?! For being a slut?”

“It’s not only your fault. I had something to do with it too. But, I got you. I’m not going anywhere. You’re my girl.”

        I laughed in amazement.

        “What’s so funny?”

“Don’t you get it Chris? We can’t be together! I was just attacked by Gia because of what we did. So, this can’t happen. It’s not safe and it’s not right. I’m sorry,” I say balling tears.

“Alright. I guess I’ll just go then,” he said while walking towards the door. He turned around, looked me in the eyes and said, “I love you.” I started crying even more. He opened the door and Gia was standing at the doorway. “What are you doing here?” asked Chris.

“We need to talk,” she said to both of us.

“What do you want?” I ask full of anger.

“Look, I don’t want to be here anymore then you want me to. But, I need to tell you something. This concerns the both of you,” she said while walking in.

“What is it?” asked Chris walking back in.

“The reason I didn’t come to school today was because I went to the doctor. What I found out made me even more mad which is why I attacked you. And, um, I’m…”

        “What?!?” I shouted.

        “I’m pregnant,” she said slowly.
