There’s a party tonight that Gia, Chris and I are going to. This is the first time we’ve all hung out together since Chris and I started sneaking around together. I didn’t even want to go to the party but, Chris insisted. He said he didn’t want to be alone at the party with Gia.
When we walked in, the first thing I saw was a girl dancing and yelling, “YASS! THIS IS MY SONG!!”
I looked to my left and I saw a group of people playing truth or dare.
“Let’s go play!” says Gia.
I was willing to do anything to get this party over with. I walked over to the game full of anticipation.
“Truth or Dare?” asks one of the boys.
“Dare,” say a girl shyly.
“I dare you to pull down the cutest boy’s pants down. Excluding me ‘cause I’m the cutest,” the boy says confidently.
The girl ran towards a boy the dance floor and pulled his pants down. He blushed full of embarrassment.
“He’s pretty cute. You should go get that,” Gia says encouragingly.
“No, I’m good in that area,” I said looking in Chris’ direction. He looked back at me with anxiety in his eyes.
“Truth or Dare?” asks the boy towards me.
“Truth?”
“Who are you attracted to at this party?”
My palms started to sweat. I tried to think of an answer without revealing the truth. “Him,” I said pointing at a random boy standing by the snack table.
“That’s my best friend! I can talk to him if you want,” says one of my friends, Emma.
“No, I rather you not.”
“Are you sure.”
“Positive!” I say with my voice raised.
“Okay… Truth or Dare?” Emma asks Chris.
“Dare.”
“I dare you to kiss the girl you love,” Emma says while winking at Gia.
I closed my eyes for a few seconds, preparing myself for an uncomfortable moment. When I opened my eyes, I turned my head and saw Chris jump towards me. Before I knew it, his lips were pressed against mine. I kissed him back before I noticed what was happening. I pushed him off and quickly looked at Gia. Instantly, I saw her trying to hold back tears.
“I... I- I’m so sorry. I’m so sorry!” I said full of distress.
She quickly got up and ran out. Chris and I ran after her full of worry.
“Gia wait! Wait, wait, wait!” Chris shouted while grabbing her.
“You motherfucking BITCH!!!!!!!!!!! HOW COULD YOU?!?”
“I’m sorry. I-“
“AND YOU!!! You’re suppose to be my best friend and you kissed him back! Why would you do that?”
“I don’t… Because I-“
“WHY?!?”
“Because we’ve been sleeping together for the past two weeks,” said Chris
Gia nodded her head, not saying anything. She just walked away
