Two weeks have passed since Chris and I betrayed Gia. Chris and Gia are still together and Gia apologized for acting like a witch. She said she missed me and would never act like that again.
While I was walking to the bathroom in school, Chris grabbed me from behind and ran me into the bathroom.
“Hey, beautiful,” he whispered in my ear.
"Stop! Not in school. Anyone can see!”
“Can I come over later?”
“Sure, if you want to hang out with Gia and I while we watch the Notebook and eat junk food. But, I think that kinda messes up the whole concept of girl time,” I say sarcastically.
“Oh my God,” he sighs.
“Why don’t we just tell her? Or better yet, why don’t you just break up with her?”
“I don’t want to hurt her.”
“You are hurting her by sneaking around with me.”
“I know, I know,” he says while pacing
“What are we gonna do? I don’t wanna keep doing this. This isn’t right,” I say feeling guilty.
“We could always stop this. Wait until I break up with her.”
“No, that would hurt her just as much.”
We stood there in silence, looking at each other. It was wrong for me to be sneaking around with Chris but, it felt right. I’m tired of being Gia’s sidekick. I need to be my own person.
