Lydia

My heart skipped a beat. I couldn't tell him about my muggle parents. My parents who worked in a small book shop, working their asses off. He would have hated me, his newly niceness would fade and his old personality would kill me. "I am a Halfblood. Dad's a pure-blood and mum's a muggle born. Uhm.. I also have a little sister, her name is Delight, she just got seven last month.", I lied, only the part of my sister was true.

"How comes that I've never heard about your family before?", he asked confused.

I shivered. I had absolutely no answer for this question. He never heard about my family before because we never were a wizard family, but instead of telling him the truth I lied again, "Well", I started, "I am actually not sure why, but maybe it is because I live in London. My mum wanted to live in the muggle world because she thought it would be better if my sister and I would grow up like her". I prayed to god that he would believe me this bizarre lie.

"Mudbloods", he mumbled, rolling his blue stony eyes. "Excuse me?", I screamed at him pushing him away from me. Not only did he insult my lied muggle born mother but also unknowingly me. "I don't know why you think you are something better than muggleborns!".

Silence.

"Listen..". Eventually, I looked back at him, still mad, "What?".

" I was raised this way, I learned early that purebloods are better than mudbl-...muggleborns. I am sorry if I hurt any of your feelings", he sighed looking at me from my feet to my head, up and down, up and down. "You look beautiful tonight". After a couple more minutes to go back to the party, or else Ginny and Hermione would have been worried. His hand grabbed my wrist before I could leave the classroom, "This has to stay between you and me. Trust me, it would be better. For both of us." Of course, I was hurt but yes he was right, it would have been better for us.

Before Lydia left the classroom, she turned around one last time. What were Draco and her now? A couple? Or friends with special benefits? She wasn't sure but was too shy to ask him. One last glance towards Draco and she disappeared in the labyrinth of corridors.

"Where have you been?", a voice somewhere behind her asked. Lydia didn't need to turn around to check who it was, she already knew it.

"I had to go to the bathroom...", she stuttered. She had absolutely no excuse and although she really wanted to tell her best friend the truth, she couldn't. She promised Draco she would it keep to herself.

"Well, then why didn't you tell me or Hermione? We were worried.". Of course, they were, "I am sorry Ginny, but you were with Harry and Hermione was with McLaggen".

The rest of the night went uneventfully. Some guys, Lydia never heard from, asked her to dance but she gladly refused. After only one more hour the trio left and happily welcomed their beds. It didn't take them long until their eyes slowly closed and a silent snoring sounded through the room.

Something cold woke Lydia from her soothing sleep. Her lids slowly opened. The bright light complicated looking, Lydia had to squint her eyes to see clearly. Hermione and Ginny stood in front of her bed with an empty bottle. They had wreaked revenge on her with her own technic. "Well played guys! Impressed", her eyes widened and her mouth formed into a huge smile. Soon enough she was joined with laughter. "even?". "Even.".

Later that day she went to Hogsmeade with Cho, a classmate she met when the dumbledore army was born. "I am so happy it's finally Sunday, another school day and I would have died!", Lydia laughed and pulled her scarf a little tighter. "You are right, Snape's been even more pissed than usual.", Cho replied doing the same. The snow shined and little snowflakes took a rest on Lydia's head, making her hat soaked after awhile. Just in time when the two girls entered the Three Broomsticks. The warm wind welcomed the girls and led them into a small corner. The view was great, they could see everything and everyone. A group of girl on the other side of the room were laughing loudly and on another table, a tall and a small boy were sitting, probably brothers.

'The three broomsticks' was well-attended. Two large Butterbeers were ordered by Cho and Lydia and already came after only a minute. Another reason why Lydia loved the wizarding world. At home, she would have to wait twenty minutes, only for a cappuccino. Soon the girls became very hungry and managed to order two fish and chips for both of them. "This is delicious!", Lydia munched, licking her lips-The plates were empty after just thirty-three minutes and the girls were full. Not even a desert would fit.

The door swung open, letting the cold in, and three boys entered the room. "three butterbeer for us!", one of them screamed at the barkeeper and walked over to the table next to Lydia and Cho.

Lydia's mind went wild, "No! WHY?! This will get so awkward". One look at the three shadows and she knew that it was Malfoy who came in with his 'bodyguards'.  Even Cho twitched when she saw Malfoy. She hated him and was afraid of him since he used her to get to the Room of Requirements. Since then Harry didn't look the same at her, he always thought it was her fault that Umbridge banned Dumbledores Army and became the headmaster for awhile. But it wasn't her fault if Umbridge didn't have used the Vera-Serum, a potion which will make you tell the truth, even if you don't want to.

Lydia overheard the boys' conversation, but it wasn't interesting. Nothing she didn't know. "I will be back soon, I have to go to the bathroom.", Cho stuttered, waving with her hand in front of Lydia's face. Lydia, who was still listening to the conversation, jumped a little when she saw Cho hand right in front of her.

Now she was alone. With the boy, she kissed about five times and didn't know what they were. It didn't take long until the boys started to notice that she was alone. The annoyance began. "Don't you have any friends?"."You are such a loser, hanging with the traitor". "Your mother is a mudblood, shame on you!". How did they know? Draco must have had told them, it broke Lydia's heart to see the person who she trusted telling everyone her story. She never even thought about telling anyone about their little rendezvous, but now?! But in the end, it was Draco who stopped his friends and told them to shut up. Too late, Lydia already rushed out of the three broomsticks, forgetting about Cho. "You forgot someone", a voice screamed against the storm. The voice was way too familiar to Lydia, she just ran further into the storm, leaving footsteps in the snow. "Lydia, please wait". No reaction. The further she went into the storm the quieter his voice became.
