Lydia woke up to the loud sound of the noisy vacuum cleaner. Invulonlatery she stood up and walked to the bathroom, showered and got dressed. She shrank a little as the cold water touched her body. Soon she felt like a small cloud hovering in the sky. Her dreams became reality and her thoughts became dreams. Suddenly she awoke from her daydream and got ready for the day.

"Morning,  you'd like a cup of tea or coffee?", her mum greeted her. Lydia decided on coffee she could use some caffeine. "I know you just arrived 2 days ago, but would you please help us in the store today? Christmas is more stressful than ever..."

"Sure", Lydia nodded and took a bite of the pancake in front of her.

"These pancakes are the best! Thanks, mum".

After breakfast, Lydia went back to her room and started to wrap some presents. A pink Pygmy Puff from Weasley's Wizard Wheezes for Delight,  theatre tickets for her parents, also a piece of unicorn hair for delight as well. When she was done she looked at the results and smiled. The Pygmy Puff was in a kind of cage, happily.

(Authors note: Not wrapped in wrapping paper, no pygmy puffs were hurt during the process)

She still had a lot of time until the bookstore opened, so she decided to unpack her luggage and wash it. Just as she wanted to put the dirty clothes in the washing machine, a letter she saw something. Curiously she reached for it.

Her eyes didn't believe, what she just held in her hands. It was another small package wrapped in wrapping paper. Who placed it between her clothes? For her, it was crystal clear that either Ginny or Hermione had placed it there, but neither of them has stored it there. And if she had looked closer she would know who it was. On the bottom of the package stood a name in beautifully handwritten writing: Neville. What she didn't know was that he was in love with her since day one. Every time she entered a room his heart would go on a rollercoaster and every time he saw her talking to someone else his heart broke. He finally had the strength to tell her that he loved her and bought her a beautiful gold bracelet, with all his saved money.

She took the package and placed it next to the one she got from Draco.
It was already the 24th tomorrow and she couldn't wait until Christmas morning to see what was in the presents she received. What did Draco get her? Who exactly gave her the other present? All these questions would get their answers soon and she couldn't wait to find out. She officially was in the Christmas spirit and like a wonder it was when she looked out of the window and onto the street.  Everywhere was laying tonnes of snow, "The Christmas Miracle", she whispered and smiled happily.  "Lydia, it's snowing!!", Delight yelled joyfully. She already had put on her jacket and hat.  And already traced Lydia to the front door, "Please come outside with me, lyds." Eventually, Lydia promised that she would follow her outside, but before she had to change into warmer clothes.

"Can we build a snowman?", Delight pleaded. And then she and her big sister built a big snowman. The kindest, loveliest snowman on the street.  With a carrot as a nose and coal as shirt buttons.  After a while, Lydia decided to return the warm flat because she still needed to help her parents in the bookstore.

It was 10 o'clock when Lydia was done changing into more comfortable clothes and walked down the stairs to the bookstore.  Her mum already stood behind the counter and greeted an adorable old lady.

Lydia smiled at her and went over to the bookshelf she had to fill up with new books.  "The Perks of being a wallflower? What a hideous name.." she laughed in her mind. "But if I would read it, it wouldn't harm anyone"

And she started reading. At first, she was sceptical but then she couldn't stop reading. It was like the book swallowed her. The story of Charlie and his friends Patrick and Sam really affected Lydia and she forgot that she had a job to do. Sobbing she sat between the tall shelves and just read. "Lydia Frances Thomson! You promised to help, but the book back into the shelf". Mrs Thomson said almost yelled at her daughter and grabbed the book to put it back on the shelf, "The perks of being a wallflower huh?". Lydia nodded as a response, brushing her tears away. "You can have it... It is an amazing book, Stephen Cbosky did an excellent job."

"Thanks, mum, love you"

The next two hours felt like two whole years. Lydia probably talked to a thousand people. Most of them were annoyed by all the Christmas stress and just bought a book to take all their anger out on Lydia. Like it was all her fault, that the most things were sold out and the streets were full. "Well I don't think you know what book is good enough for my little Harry.", an old woman said arrogantly faking a smile. "Well then look for your little Harry alone and don't waste my time", Lydia wanted to say but a look at her mum and she just stood there and nodded, like a doll.

Another ten minutes passed and the old lady finally found a good enough book. Lydia let out a huge sigh as the woman walked away. "Finally", she groaned and began to fill up another shelf. Preferably she would go to historical book, don in the basement. She once saw an old charms book, which she knew actually belongs to the wizarding world, but never told anyone, besides Ginny.

Sometimes during summer break, she sneaked down there and tried some charms out. Even though it wasn't allowed for underage wizards and witches to perform magic outside school, she never received a letter

After a while, a boy and a woman entered the bookstore. Immediately the whole store became silence, they looked different than the other customers. They wore different clothes and had different facial expressions than the others. And again Lydia did not witness any of this. She was too busy filling up the last shelf.
