blue
/bluː/
adjective
1. of a color intermediate between green and violet, as of the sky or sea on a sunny day. "the clear blue sky"
2. (of a person or mood) melancholy, sad, or depressed. "he's feeling blue"blue is wild veins, cold hands and shaking lips. blue is the smoke they blow in your face while sitting on the rooftop at 3 am, and the liquor you drink when you can't feel their breath anymore. it's how they whisper your name when you first wake up, and the way you scream theirs before eventually falling asleep on each other. blue is the ocean you wish you could throw yourself into and become nothing but another secret unknown to the world, it's the sky you think you belong to, it's the heaven you dream of every night and the hell you go through every day. blue is watching the way their lips shape around words, it's the raindrops you taste when their lips touch yours everytime you go to that same damn park and the sky cries at your sight. blue is pretending you don't care, blue is the ice your heart turns into whenever they're gone with no warning. blue is begging to be haunted one last time, it's the electricity that fills your body when they run their fingers down your spine, it's their sapphirine stare and their ethereal yet lethal voice when they call you. it's when your knees are trembling and you can't stand still anymore, and the tears filling your face at 3 am once again. it's that cigarette you light just to watch the fire coming to life inside it, then pass back and forth in the bedroom. blue is the ink you fill papers and papers with, and the story they write on your own skin late night, or whenever they get the chance. blue is the sweatshirt you borrowed a few months ago and never gave it back. it's the wind that runs through their hair and turns them into a god. blue is the color of your soul, it's the speeding bullet known as your mind, it's the nights spent laughing and crying together or alone. blue doesn't mean you're dead, it's the biggest proof you are alive.
— everything is blue(ps. they/them pronouns are used to refer to a person of unspecified sex or gender, it's up to the reader to choose who they prefer)
