In my whole life, I have never thought that I would ever get the chance to go to Disney World. Through connections, Levi was able to take me, Amaya, and Julian to the Magic Kingdom for Valentine's Day. I wonder why Delilah is not coming, but, ever since that day with the science project, Delilah and I have not been on good terms. Maybe Levi was trying to keep the peace by not inviting her.
Ever since that day, Delilah tries to pull every excuse in the book for Levi to be with her, ultimately stealing him from me. From when he used to sit with me at lunch almost every day at the football bleachers to occasionally staying in the cafeteria some days sitting with his friends.
Obviously, Delilah sits right next to Levi. I would have been able to still on Levi's other side if it wasn't for the fact that the table is a two-seater on each side. One side is to the wall and Levi's normal seat is near the wall. It is not all that bad because I can sit next to Amaya, who is very nice to me. And Julian, her closest friend (it is rumored that they will become a couple), is very nice too.
Despite it all, on my other side is Delilah, who occasionally shoots me death glares and hugs Levi lovingly. It only reassures me that Levi looks at me all the time and attempts to keep me in the conversations. Keyword attempt because Delilah loves to keep me out.
Honestly, that doesn't bother me. I wouldn't let her bother me. Most importantly, I have been recognizing more feelings with Levi's help. Even when I went to visit Dr. Young for a little "check up", he says I had progressed well.
Every day, my heart beats gets faster when Levi is with me. I might die if I don't get that checked.
Luckily, Valentine's Day lands on a Saturday so, we have no school. Although I am worried about the crowd.
Levi surprised me with a visit to my house and Minnie Mouse ears. He was so kind and gentle, which gave him the automatic thumbs up from my godmother.
In the car, we sat in silence before we left my house. Levi was really nervous and fidgeting with a black box in his hand.
"Are you ok, Levi? What is wrong?" I ask.
Levi glances at me then the box in his hand. He then shoves the box onto my lap," Here."
I was certainly not getting what was going on. I open the box and there was a delicate rustic golden bracelet inside. I feel like I am about to tear up for some reason.
"It was my grandmother 's bracelet. It was given to her by my grandfather who got it from his mom. My great-grandmother got it from my great-grandfather and so on. My grandmother gave it to me and told me to give it to a girl I find special to me. She had all girls so she needed to skip a generation." Levi mutters under his breath but, I heard him loud and clear.
I am beyond happy right now. I can't even explain it.
"Thank you. I will accept it warmly." I say as I put on the bracelet on my wrist.
Levi's smile stretched from ear to ear as he starts the ignition and drives off.
Why do I feel like I am missing a detail from what he told me about the bracelet?
😍😦😭
When we get there, we meet up with Amaya and Julian then go enjoy our day. It was magical as many people say Disney World was. We did spend most of our time in the Magic Kingdom.
