Chapter 6: The Broken Man

After a whole day of playing with Matt Vanessa decided to go check out her room, she exited Matt's and entered the room next to it, The room was absolutely stunning It was white and gold themed and it even had its own little balcony, as Vanessa walked in further she noticed two doors, one of them had a cute walk in closet and the other a breath taking bathroom

Vanessa ran and jumped on the bed, falling with her back on the soft mattress, she looked at the sealing and sighted "I could get used to this" she said while laughing, some time later, she heard knocking in the door "come in!" she shouted, and in came the cute little boy she loved "Yes Matt?" Matt pouted and looked at Vanessa "Can you pwut me to bwed?" he asked still pouting "Sure"

She grabbed Mathew s hands and walked to his room, she laid him on the bed and tucked him in, and just as she was about to leave Mathew grabbed her wrist "Can you sin pwese" Vanessa sighted, she loved singing, singing was the only thing that kept her sane during her assassin years "Sure, what song?" she asked "The moon swong!"" Vanessa laughed and nodded, she cleared her throat and started singing.....

Silver light
She turned her face to the starlit sky
And on this night began to wonder why
She knew that soon the day would come
Born to be
An heir of beauty and serenity
Into this world she entered quietly
To her surprise she was the one
Destiny
Was close behind her
Phantom of borrowed life
And her sea was a reminder
Mirror of given light...

Than one day
The sign she waited for in skies of gray
Traversed a winding road and came her way
She found the love she hoped she would
But she knew
That she had promises to stay true to
The dorment daughter of the silver moon
Than all at once she understood

Roman had just arrived from a hard day of work, he was tracking down the people who killed his parents, he was so tired that all he wanted to do was sleep, but he remembered he had to tuck in his little brother.

As he made his way to his brothers room he heard singing, but not just any singing, it was the same song that his mother would always sing to him when he was little, and when Matt was still a baby, that song stirred something in him that he had tried to hide for ever, he couldn't take it anymore

Destiny was close behind her
Phantom of borrowed life
And the sea was a reminder
Mirror of given light
From the sky
She watched the life she known she would leave behind
Said goodbye and gave her people
Life through
Her sacrifice

As soon as he walked in Vanessa stopped singing and kissed Matt's head "Yes roman?" she said walking up to him "I don't want you singing to him" she looked at him in disbelief "Why?" Roman put on an expressionless face "because if you do, ill make sure you'll never be able to see him again!" he spat harshly, she nodded and walked back to her room

she had to hate him, she had to hate him, or else the walls he spent years building up, would crumble down, and expose the broken man hidden under the emotionless mask.
