Today's Friday. Which means it's exactly one day before Ino and the rest drag me off to the springs. Yay.
Although, honestly, I could use the break. I've been really stressed lately with working and school that I barely get any sleep.
I smile to myself, walking to school, since dad picked me up and I left my car at school.
"Sakura."
I turn my head in the direction and smile. "Gaara! Hey! I didn't realize you transferred here!" I smile at my cousin.
"Yeah, well Kankuro and Temari are here as well." He says.
"You should come meet some of my friends!" I grab his arm and we head to Ino's locker, the usual hangout spot for our group. "Hey, guys!"
"Yo."
"Hey."
"Who's that, Sakura-chan?" Lee asks.
"Oh, this is Gaara. We're good friends." I respond, hugging Gaara.
"Oh." Lee says, frowning. And then I notice Naruto's unhappiness.
What? Did I do something wrong?
"Oh my gosh! Sakura, I'm so proud of you! You finally got a boyfriend!" Ino exclaims.
"W-wh-what?!?! N-no! Gaara's not my boyfriend! That would be incest!" I respond, shocked.
Eeewwwww... Me and Gaara???????
"Eeeeweewwww, me and her? Pu-lease." Gaara adds.
"What's that supposed to mean?!" I question the redhead.
"Like you said, incest!"
"Incest?!" Naruto exclaims.
"We're distant cousins." Gaara responds.
Silence.
And then Hinata and Tenten burst into laughter, soon followed by everyone. "W-was not expecting that one."
"Oooohhhh.... But Sakura... You could pretend to date Gaara so Sasuke will notice you." Ino says.
"W-what?! No! INCEST! INCEST! INCEST!"
"Relax, you don't need to kiss or anything." Ino says.
"I'd be better off dating Neji." I respond.
"No!" Tenten exclaims, and everybody turns to a blushing Tenten. "I-I-I me-mean..."
"That's not a bad idea Sakura." Ino says. "The Uchiha and Hyuga have a rivalry."
"But so does Naruto and Sasuke." Tenten says.
"I can't do that to Hinata!" I argue.
"Then don't do it to me!" She retorts.
"Wait, did you just admit your feelings towards Neji?!" Ino asks, an evil glint in her eye.
Silence.
"I like her too. Hn." Neji says, grabbing Tenten and dragging her away.
"ONE OF MY OTPS JUST CAME TRUE OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD!!" Ino yells, then faints right into Sai's arms. Sai is Naruto's and my friend. Even though he calls me ugly. :'(
The bell rings and we all head to first period.

"Oh my gosh, Sakura-chan! Is it true you're dating Gaara?" Some girls ask as I take my seat next to Sasuke.
"You two make such a cute couple!" Another one adds. I steal a glance at the Uchiha, who is maintaining a stolid face.
"I-I mean... We're not official or anything..." I answer, deciding to play it smooth.
That seemed to have ticked Sasuke off. He frowns and quickly looks the other way.
Ooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhh.... Is he jealous? Why would he be? I don't knoooooooooowwwwwwwwwwww.....
"Alright, work together with your partners." Kurenai-sensei says, and we nod.
I turn to Sasuke. "Good morning, Sasuke."
"Hn."
"Hn." I imitate.
"Oh please god no don't let this happen again." He groans, and I smile.
"Hnnnn?????"
"Seriously, Haruno. You have no idea how annoying that is."
"Well, now you know how I feel. Hn." I respond.
"Well that's just insulting. I don't hn at the end of my sentences. Hn."
"You just did."
"Did not."
"Did too."
"Did not."
"Did too."
"Hnnnnnnnnnnnnnn."
"Hn. Dang it, Haruno." He says.
"And, that is behind the scenes with Sasuke Uchiha!!!" I exclaim.
"Hn."
"Haruno. Uchiha. Get to work." Kurenai-sensei reminds, and I nod.
"Is it true you're dating Gaara?" Sasuke suddenly asks.
"What does it matter to you?"
"Hn."
"Uchihaaa!!!!" I whisper-yell, noticing the states and glares of our classmates. "Your dating Karin for goodness' sake." I whisper, barely audible; the name Karin barely making it off of my tongue without a strangling sound. It's no secret that I hate her; everybody knows. "Anywaaaaayyyssss... Have you done anything for the project?" I ask.
"Hn." He says, handing me a slip of paper.
I check over it and slowly nod, handing it back to him. "I like it." Maybe add something like 'try to kill Karin.'
"Hn."
"Class, the end of the period is coming and I would just like to remind you that a poster of the project is needed, meaning it will be an after school assignment. Decide on locations yourselves." Kurenai-sensei says.
"Hai, Kurenai-sensei."
"Sasuke?" I ask, turning to him.
"Hn. Your place, Monday." He says, standing up and leaving as the bell rings.
Um... Well... DOES HE EVEN KNOW WHERE I LIVE??
