"Ah, Sakura. It seems as if you've met Sasuke already." Dad says, appearing next to me.

"Y-yes." I respond, stiff. I loosen my posture and turn to Sasuke's parents. "I-it's a pleasure to m-meet y-you, Mr. And Mrs. Uchiha.

"It's a pleasure to meet you too, dear!" Mrs. Uchiha responds, while Mr. Uchiha hn's. I guess it runs in the family.

"Please, come in. We can talk over dinner." Dad says from behind me, and him and I lead the way into the dining room. We sit down; dad at the head of the table, with me next to him, then Sasuke across from me and Mrs. Uchiha next to me, and Mr. Uchiha on the end across from my father. We sit in awkward silence as we wait for our meal. I glance at Sasuke, then quickly look away as I notice his eyes on me. A hint of a blush reaches my cheeks and Sasuke quietly smirks.

"So, thank you for coming tonight." Dad says.

"Thank you for having us." Mrs. Uchiha responds. "You have quite the cute house, but an even cuter daughter."

"Thank you." Dad responds. "I'm sorry that Mebuki couldn't be with us tonight." He adds, and I stiffen at my mothers' name.

"Oh, it's not a problem. Although I wish I could've seen her."

You nor I will never see her again.

"You didn't tell them?!" I blurt out, despite my fathers' glares to keep me quiet.

"Tell us what?" Mrs. Uchiha asks.

"You're despicable." I tell him, despite everyone's stares on me.

"Dear, let's not talk about this now." Dad says, and I abruptly stand up.

"How can you lie about mama?! She's dead! Nobody will ever see her again!" I respond, tears starting to form. I storm away and to my room.

"Follow her." Mrs. Uchiha quietly says, as I push past all the maids and into my bedroom.

"Sakura." He says from the door. But this time, the way he says it is different. It's not as if we're arguing, but as if he actually cares for me. But that's just it. He doesn't.

"I hate him. I hate my father." I state, looking out the window.

"Hn. I'll tell you a secret." He says, sitting next to me on the bed. "I hate my father as well."

"You do?!" I ask, turning towards him.

"Yeah. And my brother."

"Guess we're in the same boat, huh?"

"Hn."

It's quiet for s few minutes, until I decide to speak again. "He hasn't always been like this, you know. Ever since mama died, a couple days ago, he's completely changed. He used to be so nice and sweet, but now he's turned cold and only cares about the business. I don't even want to take care of the business." I rant. I look towards him, and he nods.

"Well, we should head back downstairs." He says, standing up and walking out the door. I follow him and we head down the stairs, where Mr. And Mrs. Uchiha and dad are eating.

"Please excuse my behavior." I bow to Mr. And Mrs. Uchiha.

"Oh, it's alright, dear." Mrs. Uchiha responds, and I nod, taking my seat. I start to eat, not looking at my father.

"So, when this marriage is complete, we can merge our companies into one and sell a variety of electronics and appliances, along with security." Mr. Uchiha says, and dad nods.

I sit and eat quietly until Mrs. Uchiha starts talking to me. "So, musume, what do you like to do in your spare time?" (A/N: musume means daughter on google translate)

I blush at the name she gave me. "I like to paint, but I love working at the hospital. I'm the apprentice of Dr. Senju, although she lets me call her Lady Tsunade."

"Ahhhh... That's right. Sorry... Curse my old age." She says, and I look at her weirdly.

"But, Mrs. Uchiha, you don't look a day older than twenty five." I say, and she blushes.

"Oh, aren't you just the sweetest! Your mother taught you well!" She smiles. "Please, call me Mikoto."

"Mikoto." I respond, and smile at the naturalness.

"Sakura-san, how do you do in school?" Mikoto asks.

"Really well. I take all AP and have never gotten below an A. It's all thanks to Lady Tsunade, really." I respond.

"Wow! A prodigy! Looks like you'll have some competition, Sasuke."

"Hn."

"Looks like we'll have three prodigies." She smiles, turning back to me.

I smile. "I wouldn't really call myself a prodigy; more of like an above average student."

"Same thing. Fugaku, did you hear that? Another prodigy!"

"Hn." He says, then continues talking with my father.

"Uchiha's." I mutter, and Mikoto snorts.

"You got that right." She adds, and I giggle, then my eyes widen. In that very moment, I knew that I found my second mother.

"Thank you for coming, Mr. Uchiha, Mikoto-san and Sasuke-kun!" I wave. Mikoto and Sasuke surprisingly wave back.

"Four days." Mr. Uchiha says to my father, and I turn back to him, confused.

"Four days?" I repeat.

"Your marriage." He says, and I gulp. "We have also arranged for you two to have your own mansion and necessities. You will skip school this week to prepare." He says, turning away from me.

"Hai." I glumly respond. Four days? That's too soon...
