Ch.5 - Home Early

A/N: I'm going to skip to last class. You'll see why :) (hint: I get out early ;p)

"Alright class. Today I'm going to pair you up for a class project for the rest of the school year." Mr.Williams said. Everybody argues but the teacher starts pairing us up. "Ok. The first 2 are...Jordan and Monica" Mr.Williams kept going until I heard my name. "Amanda and...let's see...Aleksandr." The teacher finishes the pairing and told us to move our desks to discuss our assignment.

Aleks comes up and we both move are desks together, and wait for the teacher. Before the teacher starts, there was a knock at the door. The teacher goes to the door and there's a student assistant at the door.

"Oh Minx. How can I help you dear?" the teacher asked.

"Is Amanda here?" she asked.

"Yes she is." he says. "May I ask why?"

"The principle says that she is leaving, and here is her note saying why?" she says.

"Oh ok thank you Minx." he says to her while she starts to leave. "Amanda? You get to leave half of the class for the rest of the year." he starts. "The note says that your brother gets out earlier than us, and no ones at home at that time. Am I correct?" he asked me.

"Yes sir." I said.

"Alright. Well let me just sign this and you may leave." he says. I nod and I gathered all my stuff, and went to the teachers desk.

"Here you go Amanda and I'll see you tomorrow. I'll let Aleksandr give you your assignment tomorrow." he says.

I smile and nod. "Thanks." I said walking out the door.

"Bye Amanda! See you tomorrow!" Monica yells.

"Bye Guys!" I yell back.

"Wait Amanda!" the teacher says.

"Yes Mr.Williams?" I asked.

"Do you have a ride to get home?" he says.

"No. I just came walking. I don't live that far." I said.

"How about I'll let someone take you home?" he says.

"Are you sure Mr.Wiliams? Because I have to let my mom know before hand." I said.

"Yes Im sure. How about...Aleksandr?! You can take Amanda home. I'll give you a note and let the principle know that you're taking her home." he says to Aleks.

The whole class was saying 'ohs'. I felt my cheeks burn a little but I nod and agreed, so that he can take me home. Mr.Williams gave him an excuse and we said our goodbyes and headed out the door.

"Well that was embarassing." I said. He laughs and said "It's ok. I don't mind." he says making me blush slightly.

"I'm going to call my mom and tell her." I said to him. He smiles and nods.

-One Call Later-

"She said it's fine, but I have to leave my door open and watch for my brother." I said.

"It's fine. Let's go shall we?" He says. I nod and we headed out the school building.

It took us 20 minutes to get to my house. I took out my keys and unlocked the door. I move aside so Aleks can go in and I closed the door behind me. I lead him to the living room and we set our backpacks on the floor. I grabbed the remote and turned on the TV and put some movies on. Then I hear a honk outside and I rushed to the door and see Damian's bus is here. I open the door and I go outside and get him off the bus.

"What's up bro?" I said.

"Sup Manda." he says back.

"Come on let's get inside." I said to him.

"Ok." he said and we headed inside the house.

My brother stops in the living room and then he looks at me with a confused look on his face. Aleks then stands up and walks towards us.

"Manda? Who is this?" he asks.

"This is Aleks. My friend from school. Aleks, this is my brother Damian." I said introducing him to Aleks.

"Hi Damian. My name is Aleks. Nice to meet you." he reaches his hand out to shake his hand.

"Shake his hand D." I said. He shakes his hand and runs up to his room. "I swear he gets me mad sometimes." I said.

"It's ok. Hey do you think I can get something to drink?" he says.

"Yeah. What do you want? We have soda, water, juice, tea, etc." I said.

"Water's fine." he says. I nod and got a water for him and a soda for me. I go back and handed him the water bottle.

"Thanks." he says thanking me. I smile and nod. "No problem." I say back.

-1 Hour Later-

I hear the front door open and then closing. I'm guessing my dad's home.

"Amanda! I'm home!" my dad yells. I get up and head to the kitchen where I see my dad looking at the mail.

"Hi dad!" I say to him giving him a hug and a kiss on the cheek. "Did mom call you that a friend walked me home from school?" I asked before he gets mad.

"No. Where are they so I can met them?" my dad asked.

"Aleks! Can you come in the kitchen please?" I yelled out for him. I hear shuffling from the living room and in comes Aleks. When he saw my dad he just froze in place and looked at the floor. "It's ok Aleks he's not going to bite." I started to laugh.

"Dad this is Aleks. He's a friend that I've met in class. Aleks this is my dad." I say to him.

"H-Hello M-Mr.Gonzales. It's r-really nice t-to met you." he stutters. I laugh and let go from my dad.

"Aleks. Relax. He's not going to hurt you isn't that right dad." I say to my dad giving him a glare look.

"Ha Ha Ha! It's nice to met you Aleks." my dad reaches his hand out so he can shake hands with him. They shake hands and they made small talk.

"Alright well. I'm going to go and take a shower and go to bed." my dad says.

"Alright. Love you dad and goodnight!" I say to him and says his goodnight. I turn around and I see Aleks with his backpacks over his shoulder.

"Are you leaving already?" I asked and he nods. "OK. Well thanks for walking with me." I smile and head towards the door.

"A-Amanda?" he says. I turn around and he's about a few inches away from my face.

"Yeah?" I whispered. He looks down and took a deep breathe. I didn't know what he was doing but then I felt him lift my chin up and then he kissed me right on my lips. I gasped and froze but then I started to kiss back. Our lips moved in sync and I couldn't believe this was happening. We broke the kiss to catch our breath and we both smiled.

"I'll...see you tomorrow?" he says.

"Um...yeah. See you tomorrow." I said to him and he walked out the door. I closed the door and took my stuff to my room.
