Ch.39 - A New Beginning

~1 Month Later~

Aleks gets the last box from my room, and goes downstairs to put it in the truck. "Well. I guess this is it." I said while looking at the truck, and then looking my parents. "I'm going to miss you so much." I said and gave them a hug.

"We love you Amanda, and we promise to come when you have the baby." my mom said. I let them go, and gave each of them a kiss on the cheek.

"Babe?" I turn around and see Aleks right behind me. "It's time to go." he says and I nod. I turn back at them one last time, and I hug them again.

"I'll call you when we're settled in." I said and I let them go. They nod and I went towards the truck.

"Manda!" I turn around and see Damian running to me. "I got you this." he says and hands me a bag.

I smile and hug him, and he hugs me back. "Thanks bro. I'll open it when I'm at my house. Okay?" I said and he nods. "I-I love you D." I stuttered and he smiles.

"I love you too Manda. You're the best sister ever." he says and I started crying. I gave him a hug, and he hugs me back.

"I'll come visit you when I have a chance. Okay?" I said and I let him go.

"Okay. Bye Manda." he says and runs back into the house. I wave them goodbye, and Aleks helps me in the truck. My tears keep flowing down my face, and Aleks kisses my cheek.

"It's okay babe. We'll visit them soon." he says and I stopped crying. I nod and he starts the engine, and we drive off. It took us an hour to get to the apartment, and I took a deep breath.

"We here." Aleks said and I look up, and my eyes widen.

"A house?" I said and looked at him.

"Surprise!" he shouts and gives me a quick peck on my lips. "What do you think?" he asked me.

"I-I thought we were getting an apartment." I said and he chuckles.

"I know, but I wanted to get us a house, so that we can have extra room." he says. "Besides, your parents helped us out." he said.

"What?" I said and he nods. "But, how can we-" he stops me and holds my hand.

"It's okay babe." he says. "I promise that we will make this work."

"O-Okay." I said and he lifts my chin up. "Aleks." I whispered. He smiles and and leans towards me, and I lean towards him. We fill in the gap, and we moved in sync. We then pulled back for air, and we were both breathing heavily. "W-We better move our stuff inside." I said a while still out of breath.

"Y-Yeah." he says and we both get out of the truck. We start grabbing boxes, and head inside our new home.

~2 Months Later~

"God fucking damn it!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. "This hurts so fucking much!" I yelled.

"Breath Amanda. Just breath." Our nurse said, and I started breathing in and out of my nose.

"I-I didn't kn-know how m-much pain th-this was go-going to b-be." I stuttered and Aleks chuckles. "I-It's not fu-funny Aleks!" I yelled at him and squeezed his hand tight.

"Ow! Babe, I'm sorry!" he apologized and I losen my grip.

"Okay. Are you ready to push Amanda?" she asked me and I nod. "Okay. 1, 2, 3. Push!" she shouts and I start pushing. "Again. 1, 2, 3. Push!" I push even harder and I felt like I was going to pass out. "One more big push Amanda, and then you're done." she says. I took a deep breath, and pushed one more time.

"Ah!" I screamed, and I hear our baby cry. I fall back on the bed, and I was breathing heavily.

"Here's your wonderful baby boy." she says and she hands him to me. I hold him in my arms, and I started to cry.

"Hello." I whispered and he stops crying. "My little bundle of joy." I smiled and I see a small smile form on his face. "Here's you're crazy father." I giggled and showed him to Aleks. I look a Aleks and he was just staring. "Aleks? Are you okay?" I asked him and he passed out on the floor. "Aleks!"

"He'll be fine." my nurse said. "Some of them do that." she smiles and I giggled. "So? Have you picked out a name yet?" she asked me and I shook my head. "Okay. Just tell me when you have a name, and we'll put it on the birth certificate." she says and I nod. "Let me take him, and I'll let you rest."

"Thank you, and what about Aleks?" I asked her. She was about to say something, but there was a knock at the door. "Come in." I said and the door opens.

"Hey." Kevin said and I smile. He looks down at the floor, and he tried not to laugh. "So I'm guessing he passed out?" he asked and I nod.

"And who are you?" she asked him.

"He's my friend, and he's going to be the uncle." I smiled and she nods.

"Can I hold him really quick?" he asked and she nods. She takes him from my arms, and hands him to Kevin. I see a smile form on his face, and I smile. "He's adorable." he says. "Your have your mother's wonderful smile." he smiled. I soon felt my eyes getting heavy, and he looks at me. "Let mommy have her nap, and she can hold onto you when she wakes up." he whispers. He gives him to our nurse, and she takes him out of the room. "I'll let you sleep Amanda. Goodnight."

"Goodnight Kevin, and thank you." I thanked him and I drifted off to sleep.
