[ December 6, 2016 ]

"Hello?" Mika said as soon as she heard the other line pick up.

"Hello? Sino to?" Den said a bit inaudible because of the heavy background music.

"Den si Mika 'to." Mika hesitantly said

"Mika!?" Den exclaimed clearly despite with the heavy background music

Yup, kagulat-gulat na tumawag ako sa'yo. Mika thought.

"Bakit ka napatawag?" Den asked, now with fainter background music. She must've moved far from wherever she is.

"Ah itatanong ko lang kung kasama mo si Alyssa." Mika anxiously asked.

"Wala sya dito e." Den said "Wait. I'll ask Ate Cha."

"Aww. Miss mo na agad si Besh?" she overheard from the line.

Mika felt a slight pang in her chest but decided to ignore it.

"Ye, bumalik na daw sa hotel e." Den said after a moment.

"Ah...okay sige. Thank you." Mika said still thankful to Den.

"Ye..." Den trailed off "Mahal na mahal ka nun ni Aly. "

"I know at mahal na mahal ko din sya. " Mika said with a small smile. "Thank you ulit, Den."

The sun hasn't been up yet Alyssa got out of bed already. Waking up early isn't something unusual to her but this time its more like she hadn't had proper sleep so she decided to get up and walk outside instead.

It's 5am in the morning. At this time, back in Manila, she would just stay in bed and look at Mika's sleeping face until the latter will put a hand to cover her eyes telling her to sleep again.

But she'll just take the hand and intertwine it as she'll continue to look at her wondering what she's dreaming about. If she was included in it. If she had trouble sleeping that night.

"Emo." Alyssa heard someone said and felt a jacket wrap her body

Alyssa looked up to see that it was Den who gave her a jacket.

"Malamig di ka man lang nagdala ng jacket." Den said sitting beside her.

"Salamat, Besh." Alyssa said holding the jacket closer to her

"May kapalit yan." Dennise said in a snicker. "Ano, ready ka na magkwento?"

Alyssa nodded and told Den what happened.

"So di pa rin pala talaga kayo okay." Den said looking at Alyssa whose gazing the sea.

Alyssa nodded now crying. She wants this to end. She doesn't want them to be this way again. She doesn't want to loose her the second time over the same thing again.

"If I just remained calm and didn't let my emotions get me then we could have talked properly." Alyssa said between sobs.

Den could only soothe Alyssa's back as she cries her heart out.

A strum of guitar caught their attention. There lies a nearby restaurant by the beach with a woman playing a guitar in a mini stage.
