An Untold Story

Mickey Mouse

[ February 6, 2012 ]

When Alyssa heard the door open she hastily covered her phone under her book, acting nonchalant.

"Sipag naman!" the voice said from a distance and she heard the door close.

"Kailangan e. May exam bukas. " Alyssa said as she scan her book recalling where she had left off a while ago

"Di naman yan sinasabi ko e." Ella said approaching her and closing the book in front of her. Revealing her phone opened on the gallery of Mika's stolen photos

"Sipag mo sa pag araw-araw na kakatitig dyan." Ella said with a chuckle. "Sige tago pa, Besh."

Ella doesn't have to point it out but she knew her face's deep red.

It has been two weeks since Mika and her first met and to her dismay it didn't happened again. School had been demanding as well as training for the upcoming UAAP though she isn't allowed to play yet due to her serving residency she's still training with the team.

Although eventually they'll be seeing each other in the said competition she hopes that she wouldn't be distracted by her.

"Napana si Blue Eagle." Ella teased her with a laugh.

"Hindi nga. Nagandahan lang talaga ako sa pagkakakuha ko dito." Alyssa reason out turning her chair to face Ella. "Pwede na pala akong photographer."

"Oh? Geh nga, Besh. Picturan mo din ako tapos palihim mo din tingnan picture ko tulad kay Mickey Mouse." Ella said now opening a bag of chips she brought in with her.

"Ewan ko sa'yo." Alyssa said and turned her chair back.

Ella had been teasing her non-stop about 'Mickey Mouse' ever since she saw her looking at the pictures she unknowingly took the day they met.

Mickey Mouse, for obvious reasons, is a nickname Ella come up with so that they could freely talk about her anywhere without worries. She denied having interest in Mika to Ella numerous of times it didn't stop her from teasing.

Ella was the only one who knew about the pictures. After that incident, she had been very careful not to let anyone else know. She would not bear another person to tease her for it.

Alyssa hated to admit it and wouldn't but she really thinks she's liking Mika way too fast and unexpectedly.

"Dami ko nang chika sa Mickey Mouse mo." Ella said as she munched her chips. "Mga five trivias."

Alyssa said nothing as she still tries to read her book again.

"Sample. Alam mo bang may teammate tayo na former teammate nya?" Ella said munching. "At dapat nga dito din sya sa Ateneo mag-aaral kaso..."

Alyssa was acting that she wasn't interested having her back against her. But Ella just stopped right there.

Sino!? Saka kaso ano!? Bakit di sya dito nag-aral? Alyssa wanted ask her but that would make Ella right about having a crush on her.

Alyssa turned her chair to face Ella whose now looking at her in mischief.

"Gusto mo, Besh? Kaso ubos na e." Ella said pouting. "Favorite ko pa man din to."

This is a bait. Alyssa told herself. She could just ask Kim stuff about Mika but then that would lead to questions. It's not like she's the type that asks people for information about the other. And Kim would easily catch on.

Ella already knows for two weeks now yet it seemed like she kept it a secret. So its safe to say this is the safest bet.

"Sige bibilhan kita bukas." Alyssa said in defeat.

Ella smiled "Gusto ko isang box."

Alyssa sighed. "Sige. Dali na."

Ella smile grew wider.
"Okay so eto ang trivia ko.
1. Panganay sya sa tatlong magkakapatid. Miko yung pangalawa tapos Mikole yung bunso.

2. Taga-St. Scho sya nag highschool.At sinong former Kulasa din dito? Si Ate Fille na teammate nya dati though mere acquaintances lang sila ganun.

3. Ateneo din dapat sya kaso naunang nag-offer ang La Salle.

4. Favorite nya ay Carbonara.

and last but certainly not the least! Drumroll please!"

"Jersey number 2 sya dati!" Ella said excitingly.

Alyssa seemed lost for a minute or two after that last trivia.

Number 2 sya dati. Alyssa thought. It sinked in after some time causing for the butterfly in her stomach flutter and heart racing.

Parang meant to be. Alyssa couldn't help but thought that way.

"Uy, kinilikilig." Ella teased her

"Hindi ah." Alyssa suppresses her smile. "Teka pa'no ako makakasigurado na-" Alyssa cut off when Ella showed something to her face.

A picture of Mika wearing a jersey number 2. She was about to take it when Ella pulled it back with a grin.

"At dahil mabait akong bestfriend sa'yo na 'to." Ella said and handed her the picture. "Mahaba pa hair nya dyan."

Alyssa smiled looking at the young long haired Mika with braces.

Cute. Alyssa thought but immediately she frowned.

"Besh, sa'n mo pala nakuha 'to?" Alyssa asked looking at Ella whose sitting on her own bed.

It a mystery how Ella knew these things about Mika and she even got a hold of this picture.

"Secret. Bakit ayaw mo? Akin na." Ella said and approached her to snatch ths picture away but Alyssa swiftly keep it away.

"Wala naman akong sinabi ah." Alyssa retorted and she saw how a teasing smile formed on Ella's face.

"Kapag tumibok ang puso. Wala ka nang magagawa kung di sundin ito." Ella sang with matching dance moves

Alyssa got up from her seat and joined Ella as they sing and dance wildly around the room until they both catching their breaths, laughing their hearts out.

"Tulog na, Besh. Bawal magpuyat." Ella said and went to bed. "Goodnight."

"Goodnight." Alyssa replied and she too went to bed.
