The Ally and The Wingman

[ April 20, 2013 ]

It's late at night and Mika walks aimlessly near the Razons. She should be at the dorms this time but she decided to take a walk to think.

Mika had accepted the fact she won't be seeing Alyssa again outside court and yet here she is thinking about their unexpected encounter with her yesterday.

The encounter flipped her. Mika is supposedly angry with Alyssa with her sudden cold treatment that end up cutting all possible communications with her.

Yet on the very same day they've spent an all nighter texting each other, talking about a bunch of things many would wonder why they find it amusing enough to proceed. Nothing different from the way they were before.

It made her wonder how everything seemed to fall perferctly in place even with a year passed them by.

"Ella?" Mika called out the retreating figure of a lady in white shirt.

The lady turned and she was right. Ella squints before she recognized her waving at her. "Uy, Ye. Hello."

Mika looked around seemingly searching for something in which Ella mimicked with a frown.

"May hinahanap ka?" Ella asked

Mika timidly smiled before answering "Ah, ano...May kasama ka ba?"

Ella frowns further, frozen in place. "Nananakot ka ba?"

Mika shook her head "Hindi. Ano, baka lang kasi may kasama ka pumunta dito."

"Huh? Wala naman. Bakit?" Ella asked

"Ahhh... Wala natanong lang. Ano palang ginagawa mo dito?" Mika asked her

"Wala lang. Naghahanap ng tutubi." Ella joked. "May inutos lang na ihatid kay Tito."

"Tito?" Mika wondered

"Bakit di ka pa umuuwi? Anong oras na." Coach Ramil asked as he suddenly popped out of nowhere which startled Mika.

"Pauwi na din po ako Coach--" Mika tried to reason out her late night sighting but she noticed her coach wasn't looking at her, rather he's looking at Ella.

"Oo na eto na nga pauwi na." Ella replied begrudgingly

"Diretso ng dorm ha. Mamaya dadaan ka na naman kung saan para kumain. Kaya ka tumataba e." Coach Ramil snickering

Ella rolled her eyes "Wow. Nahiya naman ako sa waist line mong konti na lang bola na."

Coach Ramil laughed and it was just then he noticed Mika. "Oh. Ikaw din, Ye. Bakit nasa labas ka pa?"

"May pinuntahan lang po." Mika said

"Sige. Umuwi na kayo ha." Coach Ramil said. He then turned to face Ella. "Lalo ka na, taba." Coach Ramil said to Ella and he flick a finger to Ella's head causing a shriek from her.

Coach Ramil was quick to dodge the hit of Ella as he left the two of them laughing.

"Sorry matanong lang. Magkakilala kayo?" Mika asked, she doesn't want to blurt it out but she's too curious.

"Tito ko yung Tatang na yun." Ella said rubbing her forehead.

"Tito!?" Mika exclaimed too loud that made the Ella to flinch. "Ahh. Sorry...ano.."

"Ano apelyedo ni Coach?" Ella asked Mika

"De Jesus." Mika answered

"Ano apelyedo ko?" Ella asked and showed Mika her ID

"De Jesus." Mika said reading off the ID. 

"To explain further. Si Coach at yung Dad ko magkapatid and so no choice and by logic Tito ko sya. Hahahaha" Ella said and shrugged her shoulders. "Uy, gustuhin ko man tsumika sayo kailangan ko na umalis at matra-traffic na kasi ako e." Ella added as she hail a cab.

"Ah sige ingat." Mika bid her farewell and Ella hurriedly open the cab door at the passwnger side but then Mika called her back. "Ella wait!" And Ella stopped halfway to meet Mika.

"Pwede mahingi number mo?" Mika asked handing her phone and Ella grew a mischievous smile.

"Ikaw ha. Na fall ka na sa charm ng dyosa." Ella said and grabbed Mika's phone to type her number before giving it back. "Sige na. Alis na talaga ang dyosa. Goodnight, Ye."

"Thank you." Mika said and stepped away from the cab as Ella rode it.

Mika was about to leave too when she heard Ella say.

"Kunyari di ko alam kung bakit mo hiningi number ko." Ella said with the same smile she had. "Text mo lang ako kung kailangan mo ng tulong kay Besh!" Ella added as she waved at her and the cab left her sight.

Afterwards, it didn't took along time for Ella to figure out that she likes Alyssa and that she badly wanted to fix the thing she did wrong before which she still is clueless about. And ever since then, Ella had helped Mika and became Mika's most trusted ally.

[ June 10, 2013 ]

Alyssa definitely enjoyed being kidnapped by Mika. It sounded bad but it is true she enjoyed it.

She was recalling that day when she heard a familiar voice call her.

"Ly! Tara sabay na tayo mag-lunch." Kief said and stood by her side.

They both went to the cafeteria and sat side by side after ordering their food when all of a sudden she felt a gaze at her. Alyssa looked up and met a pair of eyes. It's a guy two tables ahead that loked away as she glanced at him.

Not minding it, Alyssa continued finishing her lunch when she felt the same gaze at her she once again look up and the guy look away. Alyssa then slightly nudged Kief beside her who looked at her confused.

"May dumi ba ako sa mukha?" Alyssa asked and Kief examined her face

"May idudumi pa ba mukha mo?" Kief joked and Alyssa lightly pushed him. "Joke lang. Wala naman. Bakit?"

"Kasi yung lalaki dun sa table tingin ng tingin dito." Alyssa said as she lowered her head careful not to look at the guy.

"Ah yun." Kief said with matching pointing at the direction of the guy. Alyssa quickly put Kief's hand down. "Si Jovee yan. Yung sa Track and Field. Bakit crush mo?" Kief teased her and Alyssa pinched Kief in the arm. 

"Aray! Joke lang." Kief said taking it away from Alyssa's pinch. "Kung crush mo sya wag kang mag-alala. The feeling is mutual." Kief teased her earning another pinch from Alyssa.

"No joke nga. Narinig ko sinabi nila Von na may gusto daw pumorma sa'yo na taga-track and field." Kief said as he rubbed the stinging spot where Alyssa pinched her. "Gwapo naman ah. Chinito pa. Yieee. Namumula."

Alyssa ignored Kiefer and continued eating her lunch but she couldn't help but blush at the thought of someone liking her.

"Don't worry, Ly. You can count on me. Tutulungan kita sa crush mo." Kief said with a grin.

"Di ko sya crush." Alyssa replied

 "Una na ako. May practice pa kami. Babye." Kiefer said and stood up. "Oh. Wag kang mag-alala I'll be your wingman."

"Hindi ko nga--" Alyssa wasn't able to say what she wanted as Kiefer sprints away from her.

The following days became something she didn't thought off as one day Jovee asked her out. And she said yes.

A/N: Hey yo fam. Sorry super tagal ko ng di nag-update. Nawili masyado sa one shot stories at balik loob sa pagiging reader ng sobrang habang reading list ko. Hahahhaha. But anyways like I always say walang proofread so pasyensya na po sa errors. Also can't promise na mas madalas na ang update marami pong hanash si life sakin kaya di makapagsulat 😕
