Chapter 15

Friday...

Riker POV

I was freaking out. In a good way.

We were like 5 minutes from Dalton. We'd taken a taxi. My parents were getting me registered tonight, and finally, I would get to stay here!

I'd said goodbye to my other siblings at home. Rydel and Rocky were probably the most upset.

I was sad to leave them, but I was really happy to be with my twin again!

We finally got to Dalton. Nick and Jeff were waiting out in the parking lot for us.

I jumped out of the car, and ran to Jeff, hugging him tightly. I hugged Nick too.

Jeff helped me get my luggage, and we went to the main office. I still need my room assignment and uniform.

My parents got me all registered and everything. And I was automatically in the glee club now. That was part of the agreement for the scholarship. I had to be in the glee club. But I was fine with that.

I got my uniform and my room assignment. I said goodbye to my parents, and then I let Nick and Jeff help me find my room.

I knocked on the door. And I felt my stomach drop as the door opened.

"Hey, roomie! They told me you'd be moving in with me!"

Jeff and Nick looked just as frustrated as I felt.

I'm rooming with Sebastian Smythe.

He pulled me inside, and then slammed the door, not letting Nick or Jeff in.

"Here are the rules. That is your side of the room. This is my side of the room. I have tape on the floor so you know where the boundary line is. Here's the bathroom schedule. You won't have time to shower in the morning. And there is one open drawer for you to use in there. Also, don't touch my stuff, or you'll regret it."

He shoved me backwards, and I fell on my bed. I stood back up, and grabbed his wrist.

"Well then I have rules for you too. Don't mess with my brother, or you'll regret it."

We both sort of just froze, glaring at each other. Our faces were inches from each other. And neither of us wanted to look away first.

The door flew open, and we both looked away at the same time. Jeff and Nick were standing there, looking frustrated.

"Riker, do you want help unpacking?" Jeff asked, obviously annoyed.

"Yes, please. And this is half my room, so I can have people on my half!" I shouted at Sebastian.

He just glared back at me. And I smirked at him.

I got half the dresser, so Nick and Jeff helped me put my clothes away.

"Riker, we have homework to do, so do you think we can just call it a night?" Jeff asked.

"Sure, whatever... I'll see you guys tomorrow, right?"

"Yup!"

Jeff gave me a hug before he and Nick left. And after they were gone, I sat down on my bed, and glanced over at Sebastian. He was looking right back at me.

"What?" He asked, annoyed.

"Nothing! Sorry! Gosh!"

I looked away, and took out my phone. It's only 9:30. I don't normally sleep until like 11:00. And the time difference makes it feel even earlier. I don't know if I can handle Sebastian as my roommate...

The next day...

Jeff POV

"Jeff, wake up."

"Mmmm..."

"Come on!"

"What?"

"Let's go get Riker and go have some breakfast."

"No... Too early..."

"Jeff, it's 8:30. Come on."

"Help."

I kept my eyes closed, and Nick gave me his hand. He pulled me out of bed, onto my feet.

"Jeff, you need to put something on before we go down there. I don't think they'll like it if you go down in your underwear."

I blushed, and opened my eyes. I quickly found a pair of sweatpants Riker gave me, and pulled them on. And then we went to Riker and Sebastian's room.

Nick knocked on the door. Sebastian answered it.

"Well look who it is. My favorite Warblers," he said, patting us on our heads.

"Where's Riker?" Nick asked, annoyed.

"He's in there. But he had a rough night, so I wouldn't disturb him if I were you," he said, smirking at us.

He pushed past us, and started walking down the hall. I pushed the door open. Riker was on the floor, sleeping, in nothing but his underwear.

"So is the whole sleeping in your underwear just a twin thing?" Nick asked.

I lightly pushed his shoulder, wanting him to quit embarrassing me.

I knelt down on the floor next to Riker, and shook his shoulder.

"Riker. Wake up."

He opened his eyes, and looked at me, looking confused. I handed him his glasses.

"Sebastian said you had a rough night," Nick said, helping him up.

"God, it was awful," Riker mumbled, grabbing some clothes.

He pulled on a sweatshirt and sweatpants. And then we all went downstairs together. We got breakfast, and then sat down at a table where Trent and David were sitting.

Riker pushed his breakfast aside, laid his head down on the table, and then pulled his hood over his head.

"Rough night?" David asked.

"He's rooming with Sebastian," Nick said.

"Oh... That must be fun... What happened?"

"We don't know yet."

"Riker, what happened?" I asked.

"I don't want to talk about it."

"Please?"

Riker groaned.

"What?" I asked, putting my hand on his back.

"Worst night ever."

"Well tell us what happened!"

"Fine! Stop shouting at me!"

"Grumpypants."

Riker sat up, and growled at me. I scooched closer to Nick.

"Sebastian kept throwing things over into my bed. And he threw an open water bottle, which soaked all my blankets and everything, so I just slept on the floor."

"We can help you do laundry and get dry sheets again if you want," Nick said.

"Thanks..."

Riker laid his head down on the table.

"You ok?" I asked.

"My back hurts from sleeping on the floor... It seriously sucked."

"I'm sorry, Riker..."

"Can I go take a nap in your room?"

"Sure."

I handed him my key, and he left.
