*EMBERS POV*

I went out with Mason. Turns out, he's just your usual fuck boy trying to get laid. What a shame, he was really cute.
I was walking home from the little restaurant I bumped into someone.
"Holy shit, I'm so sor-" I stopped short when I seen who I ran into.
"Don't worry about it Em." Blake said.
"Wasn't going to." I started to walk away from him when he grabbed my arm.
"Just let me explain."
"Now you want to?" I raised my voice.
"Please." He said desperately.
"Fine."

*BLAKE'S POV*

"Ok. When I say this you don't freak out ok?" I asked.
"Ok ok. Just tell me please!" She told me.
"Ok, so I come from somewhere that people rarely believe in." I paused "I come from the heavens. I was sent here to protect someone from themselves, but I'm falling in with this person and the more I fall in love with her. I will fall. When an angel falls the pain they feel could almost kill them. Our wings are burned off our bodies, our skin bursts into flames, but once we hit the ground..once we hit the ground we either die or join Lucifer in hell. So we do as we're told so it doesn't happen." I told her. And that shocked face didn't seem comforting at all.

*EMBERS POV*

I couldn't believe what he saying but the look on his face told me he might be telling the truth.
"Ok I wasn't expecting that." I laugh it off.
"Ember, this is serious."
"How do you expect me to believe this Blake? How do you expect me to believe this pathetic excuse of why you've been ignoring me?"
"I know this is crazy."
I cut him off. "Crazy?! This is beyond crazy Blake. This is insane." I yelled.
"As I was saying, I know this is crazy but you have to believe me. Please." The desperation in his voice caught me off guard.
"Say I do believe you, what then? What happens to us then?"
"You? You'll be fine. Me? I don't know." He says sadly. And with that he left.
"No, Blake stop. Please!!"  I scream for him but he doesn't turn around. Then words start pouring out of my mouth that makes him stop.
"Blake stop. I can't..I can't do this alone. This whole life thing? It got easier when you walked into it. Everything was shit before you got here. You became the only friend that I could rely on. When no one was there for me you were. When everyone turned their backs on me, you were there. So please don't leave. I..I need you." I say each word quieter. He turns around and looks at me like I've lost my damn mind.
"Stop giving me that look Blake. Everything I just said is true. Every damn thing Blake. But if you can't feel the same then just leave!" I say. After what I said he turns around and brings me into his arms. I burry my face in his chest and cry.
"I feel the same but Em." He starts to say.
"No. I'm not letting you go. My mom once told me if you value someone or something in your life you let it go, and if it comes back to you hold on tighter. And that's what I'm doing to you." He merely nods and hugs me tighter.
