Yeah "let's wing it" wasn't a good idea to say. Nothing has been found, the two of them have no idea what to do. Never put two dumbasses in the same room trying to get over a life or death situation, it just doesn't work out. Even if the two combine their brain cells to make two, they had no idea what the hell they were doing. Whatever they were planning wouldn't go well, not at all.
"Wait hold on there's no records of this happening, so how are we supposed to wing it per say?" He paused for a moment "You know what? I don't know." Ember looked at him like he had grown two heads "You're kidding right?" She asked.
"No not all unfortunately." He looked at her and smiled before continuing "although the only thing I can say that happened close to our situation was long ago."
She stared at him waiting for him to continue. "Well?"

"Oh yeah sorry, well there were three, a nymph, a human, and an angel, the three's soul were bounded one they were born. When they had their first born, it's said that she screamed so loud she bursted everyone's ear drum. The second child took on most of the Angel side, he was good, he was nice and caring, he even went out of way to make sure a little old lady got home safely."Blake paused and taking in a breath. "The youngest, he fell too, for another man, once the angels heard about this, took his wings, his powers, his identity. They made him mortal, once they figured he would continue to find the one he loves, they killed him, and forced him to hell."
Ember stared at him taking in his words, she went to rub her eyes only to realize she had been crying through the youngest child's story. "I guess that's why the devil on your shoulder tries to get you to follow his advice. Because the Angel lies to you, and he tricks you."  She says through a shaky breath. Ember wipes her tears away, "How could they ever just do that to someone, someone who wants to just LOVE who they want to? Why is that so horrible to some people?" She asked upset. Blake looked at her and smiled softly.
"Well, they couldn't kill him every time. With his genetics and being who his parents were, he was bound to keep on living until he found his love. Once he realized that his love had died and didn't have a reason to be who he was, the angels took him back." He said softly with a small smile on his face. "It's said that he's come back or will come back and look for another love. One who he can be with and not have all that shit happen to him again. He barely made it through the first time."
"Damn, any idea who he was? I mean he has to have a name, either that or no one wants people to remember if they didn't know already." Ember looked at him, a look that shows him that she's close to figuring it out.
"No, no one knows his name, and I don't think anyone else will." He mumbled the last part to himself.
"I'm sorry say that last part." She asked. He looked at her and shook his head as if telling her not to worry about it. Shrugging she walked passed him "Well, we better get a move on to find out who this guy is." Nodding Blake followed behind her.

Throughout the next few days they searched and searched along to come up empty handed every time. Walking down the streets frustrated they decided to stop by some place and eat.
"Why is this so frustrating? It shouldn't be be this hard."
"Well, considering what I told you is over 300 years old, it's going to be quite difficult."
"Shut up Blake. If you would've told me before you decided to wipe my mind we wouldn't be in this." She stopped as someone bumped into her, "hey watch it dude." She called after the man. He turned around to face them, "Sorry, I apologize." He stared at them for a moment.
"Uh hello? Why are you staring like that?" Ember asked. The man bowed his head and chuckled. "Sorry, it's just, you both look like some old friends of mine." Ember nodded and was about to walk away before she thought something maybe, just maybe this is the guy we need. She turned back around and called to the man, "Hey, do you by chance want to come get lunch with us? We're headed that way, you don't have to but you don't seem all that bad."
"I really shouldn't-" he hesitated "you know what that sounds amazing." She nodded to him and turned around again.
"Do you think this is a good idea Em? I mean he's a complete stranger." Blake murmured.
"It's a long shot but I have a suspicion this is the guy we need."
"What if you're wrong?"
"Then I'm wrong. But don't you think it's odd that he said we look like some old friends?" She asked looking up at him. He thought about it for a minute, "Fine, but if you're wrong." Ember stopped him. "Then I'm wrong."

As they got to their destination they walked in and sat down at a table, Ember and Blake sitting beside each other and the mystery man in front of them.
"So, I didn't ask this before but what's your name?" Ember spoke up first.
"Oh my name is Nico. And you?"
"I'm Ember and this is Blake." Nico nodded looking between the two. "Why did you invite me to eat with you guys? I mean I am a stranger, don't you think it is a little bit dangerous?"
"Maybe but I have a feeling you wouldn't hurt us." She looked straight into his eyes as she continued, "besides I thought it would be nice to invite an old friend out to lunch." Nico's eyes widened as he stared at her and looked to Blake. "I don't know what you're talking about." He stuttered.
Blake eyed him. "Are you sure? It seemed like you knew us when you bumped into us."
"I." Nico was stopped when the waitress came to them.
"Are you three ready?"
"Yes I would like the veggie burger with a side salad and water please." The waitress nodded and looked to Blake "What could I get for you?" "Uh I'll just get the special today with a water too please." Looking to Ember she asked the same thing, "I'll just get the same as him." She pointed to Blake.
"Alright I'll be right be back with your orders."
The three sighed in relief. "As I was about to say, you wouldn't believe me." Nico continued.
Ember looked at him pointedly. "Try me."
Nico sighed and told his story.
"A long time ago I fell for two of my best friends whom you look alike, don't worry they're still alive and I see them every once in a while but it was quite shocking when I had seen you two. Together we had three beautiful children. Our oldest she was loud, but a strong leader. Took care of her siblings and watched over her family. Our middle child, was nice and caring. He was the sweetest boy you'd ever meet. Always put people before himself. And our youngest." Nico stoped and exhaled shakily. "Our youngest fell for a man, once the highers found out, they took everything from him. I have been searching for ages to find him. But he's mortal now. I know what the books say, they took him back gave him everything back. But they didn't. He's still living here on earth as a mortal who never ages. All I want to do is find my son."
Ember and Blake looked at each other. "We're running from the highers. I fell for Ember and they will stop at nothing to take her away from me." Blake stared at Nico.
"Here are your orders, enjoy." They thanked her and ate their food. Once they were done they split the bill and left.

After a while Nico spoke up again. "Blake, you mentioned they won't stop at nothing to get to you or kill Ember correct?" Blake nodded. "Tell me, does she remind you of someone?"
Blake looked at him then at Ember who was walking ahead of the two.
"No one I can remember. Maybe it's the eyes, or the way she carries herself, I don't know." Nico nodded, "You sound like my son, I had all three of my children taken from me, they wiped my mind of their names and memories but I knew I had them. To be honest I just started regaining my memories, not all but enough to find out I have children and what happened to them."
Ember turned around to the two men, and laughed. "Will you two hurry up? You're walking like old people." The two men smiled and followed behind the girl.
