Chapter 16: Let's adventure (The drive)

(Wednesday 11th March 2015)

The boys met us shortly after they had finished editing their music. We met them in front of Macey's at the front of the outlet mall.
Pape grabbed my hand and linked his fingers through mine.

"You sure about this?" I said smiling and looking up at him.
"Mhmm, you my boo, I'm allowed to hold your hand." Pape said winking down at me.
This was getting even more serious and I was beginning to question if it was real. I mean, I did like him, a lot actually and I was pretty sure he felt the same way, but it was going way too fast at the moment. Oh wells. I squeezed his hand and we walked behind everyone.

Dyl looked back and nudged Zoe who winked at us.
"Adorable." Zoe said.
I felt my cheeks go hot and I looked at Pape who winked at me.
"Don't worry London girl, I got you." OMG this was the most sweetest feeling ever.
"We should drive up somewhere random and spend the night in a different place, somewhere completely different." Chase said walking up next to us not noticing that Pape and I were holding hands. Maybe he was used to it.
"Yes we should" I agreed smiling up at Chase.

We then all decided on the way back to Chase's to pack a few items of clothing and stuff the back of the car with snacks and drinks and just drive up to anywhere. This was going to be an interesting night, hopefully we don't get lost.

We were bang in the middle of Ohio in Delaware and we decided to just head any direction and drive past cities and when we got tired (Or Chase got tired since he was the driver) we would just stop and park somewhere quite or stay in a motel and book one large room.
It was 7pm and we were all set to leave. Chase packed 3 cases of Red bull and Gatorade so we would be able to stay up.

"Y'all ready?" Chase shouted down the hall as Zoe and I were packing a few things in our backpacks. "Nearly" I shouted back.
I packed 2 pairs of socks and knickers, 1 hoodie, leggings, 1 vest and a jumper. I slipped on my black uggs and stuffed my converses in my back.

OOTD: Long black tee with white sleeves, leopard leggings, leopard unco snap-back worn backwards and uggs.

I then reached for my charger on the floor, Chase had portable chargers in the car so it was all good.
"Don't forget make-up removing wipes" Zoe said throwing me a pack.
"Oh yeah!" I reached in my make up  bag and just took out face powder, cream and eye-liner. After all that was the only make-up I really ever wore.

The boys were already downstairs with their gym bags on the floor in a huddle.
"We're going to pick up Lydia from her house then head out." Kevin informed us while going to the fridge to take out a large carton of OJ. Pape walked up behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist and rested his chin on my shoulder.
"We're going to have so much fun tonight" He whispered in my ear before kissing my cheek.
"Awwwwww" Chase said while making a heart shape with his fingers.

We drove up to Lydia's after Dylan got back from his house to pack some clothes.
She was waiting outside with her backpack on and she smiled and ran towards the car when we pulled up.
"Bye mum!" she shouted across the front lawn.
Then we were off. To adventure.

We all decided to head south, towards Virginia, I did not know where that was or what that was but I just went with it because the guys seemed to get excited to head there. Zoe and I just seemed to have a good time even though we didn't know where we were. As long as we were with the people who meant the most to us, we were all good.

"Let's crank up the speakers" Chase said while turning up the radio and it was playing Teenage
Dirtbag.
"How does she know who I am, and why does she give a damn about me?!" Dyl and Pape yelled out the windows. 

They were cray. Dylan had already finished 2 cans of Red bull and Pape was downing his second really fast as Chase drove smoothly down the long road that seemed to never end. It was pitch black now and the only source of light were the cars running along side us and our own headlights, sometimes there was an odd road lamp on but most of the time it was just pitch black.

I was sitting in the middle with Pape on my right and Zoe and Dyl  to my right. There was only three seats but we managed to squeeze in. Kevin  and Lydia managed to squeeze in the front row with Chase and it was alright because it apparently wasn't illegal if the back was full. Indeed it was full of our junk, snacks, clothes and Chase's wet blankets from a few nights ago. 

We had been driving for almost 3 hours and we had made 1 service stop to go to the toilet and also buy some chipotle burritos again. These were seriously the bomb. Mexican was now officially my favourite food. I tweeted out a picture of me biting my burrito looking like the fat child from Charlie and the Chocolate factory. I tweeted: Chipotle for the second time today and counting. Mexico I love you" I then took the time to reply to many DMs from Round2Crews fans because I had turned off the notifications as messages kept coming in every hour. I had never felt this famous in my life.

"Gimme" Pape said taking the phone off my and replying to many fans saying random things like "I love wearing blue socks" and "American boys are the bomb." I laughed and just watched him type away on my phone.

Chase face-timed Chloe while driving and we all listened in on their cute conversation about puppies, London and food. Chase got annoyed so he inserted his lime green headphones on and carried on in privacy. We could still hear everything he was saying but we just weren't paying attention anymore. Aww.

Everyone was just busy having their own separate conversations until Dylan started having a debate with Zoe about if same sex schools were better or not. Zoe had been previously attended an all girls school and she was strongly for them.

"Yeah, I agree with Zo. All girls schools toughen you up" I butted in taking out one headphone me and Pape had been sharing while watching funny videos on Youtube.
"But how does that help? Going to a mixed school can toughen you up too" Pape argued.
This was true but as a girl, we needed to protect ourselves from the bitchiness of girls more than boys. It was easy to lure away boys if we had to. But with girls, it was a lot harder.

"Bleh, I give up" Zoe said leaning back on the chair and then leaning her head on Dylan's shoulder. 
Kevin and Lydia had fallen asleep in the front row and we agreed that at the next stop they would switch with me and Pape so they could crash at the back. 

At around 2am Chase got tired and we had to stop at a gas station to fuel the car, we agreed that Dylan would drive next and then we would just crash at a motel. We had gotten as far as Huntington, in West Virginia. No idea where that is again, but its not Ohio so it was pretty far.

We had filled up the tank with petrol and Pape and I moved to the front and just listened to some songs from his phone. Chase was still busy on the phone to Chloe in the back seat. 
I texted mum saying that Zoe and I were having a good time and were chilling with Round 2 Crew, she knew all about them but didn't believe we knew them personally. I thought now was a good time to send her a selfie with Pape. 

"Quickkkk pose" I nudged Pape who did the duck face with me. I Whatsapped it to her and she replied by doing the same pose with Dad. Cute.
"Awwwww" Pape cooed while taking my phone and replying to mum.
He said: Heeey Mr and Mrs Cruz! It's Pape here, hope y'all are all good, don't worry I'm looking after Lex" He handed me back my phone and I smiled from both corners of my mouth.

Pape took my hand and held it to his mouth and nose and kissed it slowly. I looked at him and he went in for a peck on my lips.
Dylan did not notice because he was busy concentrating on the road. I didn't let go and I smiled still with my lips on mine. 

We drove up for another half and hour before we drove past a cute motel near a shopping mall. We agreed to book the biggest room available at this time and just stay in and carry on travelling in the morning. Chase and Pape did the booking while we all waited patiently in the car. Zoe and I woke Kevin and Lydia up.

"Where are we now?" Kevin slurred while checking the time on his phone. 
"Just 30 mins off Huntington" Dylan replied climbing out the front seat and sitting in between Lydia and Zoe. It was nearly 3.30 and Pape and Chase came out sliding two pairs of keys in their hands.
"We booked a room for 8 so theres 4 doubles. It's the biggest they have." Chase smiled.
"Perfect, I'm so tired" Zoe said rubbing her eyes. 

We all strolled in the room with our bags and we all just seemed to fall on a bed randomly. I fell on the same bed as Zoe and she fell asleep almost instantly.
"We leave 9am bright and early guys" Chase said before falling on his own double bed in the middle of the room. Kevin and Lydia scootched up together on the bed at the end and Pape and Dylan laid on the bed next to us. 

"Can we swap?" Dylan mouthed at me looking over at Zoe who was already fast asleep.
"Okay" I mouthed back getting up and jumping on the bed next to Pape.
"Hey there" He smiled and slipped off his jeans.
"Heeeeey, don't get naked." I replied covering my eyes.
"I only sleep in boxers" He shrugged throwing his jeans to the side and slipping under the covers. 
"Uhhh fine" I replied slipping off my hoodie and leggings. I had worn tight blue shorts under my leggings because it was so cold. 

Pape looked me up and down and smirked in a pervy way.
"Quit perving" I laughed while slipping under the covers.
"I can't help it" He replied moving closer and poking my stomach under the covers. 
"Turn off the lights boy "I said rolling the opposite side trying to get to the very edge of the bed. Was this wrong? We weren't doing anything. 

I reached on the floor to the pocket of my backpack and took out my phone.
I tweeted out: "Goodnight beautiful humans, long day tomorrow X" and clicked it to lock, tossing it on the floor. It was carpet.

Pape jumped back in bed and noticed I was really far away.
"I won't bite" He said dragging me by the arm closer to him until we were both facing eachother and he wrapped his arm around my shoulder. I gave in and put my leg over his. 
"I move a lot when I sleep" I warned smiling big. 
"So do I" Pape replied smirking back with a half smile.
"Oh dear" I laughed quietly.
We fell asleep silently with my head resting on his chest. He was too warm and I couldn't resist.
I closed my eyes and fell asleep immediately.
