Round 2 Crew Vibes

Chapter 1: Teenhoot round2? (Part 1)

(November 2014)

*Phone vibrates*

Reluctant to open my eyes I answer to Chloe’s frantic voice saying “Lex! I’m like 3 stops from The Bridge, where are you now?!”

“Oh crap!” I replied kicking the duvet off and running down to the shower. I had completely forgot that we were getting to TeenHoot UK early today, learning from our mistake at last year’s event.

“I’ll get there ASAP, lemme have a quick shower, save me a place in the line!” I had the quickest shower ever recorded in my life and ran upstairs to put on my clothes.

OOTD: Black & white UncoApparel tee (Justin’s brand), black leggings, black leather jacket, black croc heels and a black & white snap-back worn backwards.

I hesitated while slipping on the crocs because they tortured my feet after standing up too long, but I stuffed my converses in my bag just in case, then I was out the door, no breakfast, no make-up, nada.

“I’m on my way, gonna take train.” I texted Chloe to assure her.  I was so thankful that I could get a straight train from near me to The Bridge. Chloe and I had been waiting months for this and we had everything planned out. I had put my half of the gifts for our boys in my bag the night before so that I wouldn’t forget, well that definitely came in handy today.

It felt like forever on the train but I had made it and I could already see the line filing up quickly, until I spotted Chloe near the front, yaaaaay. Every one of us had to write a number on our hand and Chloe kindly asked the girls behind to write one number up so that I could be number 73. Today already felt suckish. I had to apply my eyeliner and powder while in the line, and my hair, oh jheeze. Don’t even get me started, I was slo glad that I was wearing the snapback to cover it all. Luckily, Chloe and I had recently trimmed our hair so it would dry up volumed instead of flat and nasty. Chloe looked so pretty and fresh, she was definitely more prepared for this than I was.

Doors opened at 1.30 and we all slowly but excitingly piled through the black doors, showing our white wristbands to the security guard. As soon as Chloe and I walked down the stairs, we instantly spotted the Round2 boys, Dylan, Jc and Sam. We had definitely missed them. Pape caught my attention first, he hadn’t changed at all apart from his hair, it wasn’t covered by a snapback this year, I saw he styled it up nicely as always. Chloe wasn’t as excited as I was to meet Round2 as she was still head over heels for Sam, I had shifted from Jc to Justin Brown as we’d had more contact through Twitter, gassed.

Chloe and I started the third batch of fans and I began to start panicking, I prayed that something would happen, something unforgettable.  It felt like a dream just meeting the artists again, taking pictures, asking for autographs and having little conversations with the odd one or two. We finally reached the Round2 boys and I tried ever so hard not to flip out and fan girl which would waste the valuable time we had with them. Pape was the first to notice my tee and he got gassed. This then started a chain reaction and the guys also got gassed covering their mouths and pointing which then got me gassed.

“Okay, you’re officially the best fan out here today, let’s take a pic!” Pape whispered close to me. Kevin took a pic with their crew SLR as well as Chloe and my smile was so big and cheesy that my cheeks started to hurt after a minute. Chase smiled back at us after whispering something to Kevin and he said, particularly to Chloe: “I remember y’all from last year, you two came together right?”

“Yeah we did” Chloe replied starting to blush.

“Yeah I definitely remember you…”

“Chloe” Chloe finished Chase’s sentence.

“Hi, and yeah! I also remember you Lexyburr? We talked on OkHello didn’t we?” Chase said to me.

“Oh wow, yeah we did, flattered you actually remembered” I replied low toned.

We all carried on talking and I asked the guys if I could get a picture with each of them kissing my cheek and me doing the same back to them. Pape went first and I could feel him breathing in as he slowly kissed my cheek and waited there for a few seconds for Chloe to take a pic. Kevin slyly sneaked a snap on the crew’s SLR too and Pape winked at him. When it was Kevin’s turn, he whispered “Don’t tell Lydia alright?” and I replied “okay” confused.

After the pictures, I went over to Pape and asked who Lydia was and he winked at Kevin again before replying “Lydia is his girl back in Ohio.”

“Ahhhhh” I replied also winking at Kevin. I was literally over the moon at this point having the time of my life, chatting to Pape about pennies and also giving the boys their gifts, Chloe and I had gone to Chi-Town the day before and took photobooth pictures and we gave the boys a copy each, with a little personal message on the back and our OkHello users at the bottom too. After taking a final group picture, Pape came close and told me that if Chloe and I could go round in the queue again and meet them, he would give me an UncoApparel leopard snapback and Chloe a tee. We agreed to try to come back around. We also met Jc and Sam next and we also handed them their gifts, I bought Jc some puppy shaped gauges and a Nandos membership card with my twitter and OkHello user at the back. He said he really liked the unique gifts and we took a selfie with him kissing my cheek. Man I had missed Jc. After the selfie, I looked back at the Round2 boys and winked at Pape who winked back, he knew I used to be obsessed over them. Chloe and I met Dylan last and we gave him a joint gift, it was a leopard backpack and we told him that Pape told us to come back around and he winked over at the boys pointing to us and Chase and Kevin nodded.
