Yoongi POV

It's 2:17 am and I'm laying in bed, obsessing over a girl I don't even know. 'Gee,' I think, 'I'm so obsessed with (Y/N) that I'm starting think that every girl that me or the boys are relatively close to, is her. Well, not every girl. It started with Marie. But... AISH! I don't know!' It's been a week since she moved in and I still don't know how to tell if she's really her. If she's (Y/N). I rolled onto my side, back facing the wall, as I reached out to the dresser and grabbed the old picture I had of her when we were kids.

*FLASHBACK*

"C'mon Hyung!" (Y/N) yelled as we raced down the street. "I'm coming!" I caught up with her. "Hey, (Y/N), can we slow down? I'm getting tired." I panted. She nodded, slowing down. "Me too." I giggled at her breathless form. "What?" She asked me. "Nothing." I said quickly. "Hey Hyung! Look at the pretty stars!" I looked up. What I saw was amazing! "Wah! Pretty!" I exclaimed.

"Aren't they?" She asked

"Aren't they?" She asked. I nodded. We stood there in silence for awhile, just looking at the stars. "Hey Hyung?" (Y/N) spoke. "Yeah?" "You think I'm way more pretty than the stars?"

(A/N: remember, they were around six years old. I'm not good at talking like a little kid, but I did my best.🙃)

I responded quickly. "Of course!" All the sudden, she grabbed my small hand into hers, and pecked my cheek. "Thank you so much, Hyung." She smiled at me. "Yah! You kids better get in here before you get sick!" (Y/N)'s mother yelled from her house behind us. So, we walked up to the house, hand-in-hand. "Wait," she yelled again, "Stop walking for a second! I'll be right back, I'm gonna get my camera! I want to take one last picture of you two together!" Then, she ran back inside. But, I was thinking about what she said. "One last picture?" I asked (Y/N). "Don't worry about it Hyung! Just smile!" I unwrinkled my furrowed brow, and asked for a promise. I was a smart young boy, I didn't have to be a genius to figure somethings out. But just this once, I was hoping I was wrong. "(Y/N)?" "Hm?" "...Can you promise me something?" Here goes. "Sure! What is it?" I breathed in, and asked. "Promise me that you'll never leave me." She looked into my eyes. "I promise. And you...I need Hyung to promise, if I ever do leave, you will search for me. Can Hyung promise too?" I nodded. "Good." Mrs. (Y/L/N) came back out. This time, a camera in hand. "Okay you two. Pose and smile for the camera!" She said. We posed where, (Y/N) and I were still holding hands, smiling, and holding up 'V's. But at the last minute, (Y/N) leaned in and kissed my cheek again. That's when she snapped the picture.

*FLASHBACK ENDS*

That was my last night with my best friend...my world. "I'm sorry (Y/N)," I spoke aloud, "I tried to find you. I really did. But I failed. I'm so, so sorry..." I smiled sadly. A single tear rolling down my pale cheek. I hugged the picture, and rolled over, facing the wall. Faint sobs could be heard throughout the silence of my room. Next thing I know, I'm being woke up by a sweet, gentle voice. "Hyung." The person said. "Come on, you're gonna be late for practice." Their voice was so soothing. I rolled over slightly, my arm hanging off my bed, suddenly I heard a thump. I heard the person shuffling around. But, when I heard a heavy gasp escape the person's mouth, I shot up. I turned my head toward the person, only to see Marie holding a frame. She looked up at me, eyes filled with tears threatening to fall. "H-how did you get this?" She asked me. I was confused at first, not knowing what she meant. But then, my face filled with realization. The thump was my picture of (Y/N) and the shuffling was her picking it up. I looked at her again. "It's none of your business!" I yelled, trying my hardest to seem angry by the fact she had invaded my personal space and touched my stuff. I got up and walked over to her, yanking the frame out of her hands. "Now, could you please leave? ('Scuse me, could you please leave?) Don't ever talk to me unless I initiate the conversation. I'm not very happy with you right now." I said as calmly as possible. "I-I'm sorry..." She whispered before she walked out and closed my door. I once again looked at the picture. I thought back to how I ended up with only half of it...
