Chapter Ten

- Josh's POV -

"Where are we going Amber!!" I screamed as she dragged me up the stairs, my head was spinning. Suddenly she pulled me into a room and put her hand over my mouth.

"Please be quiet.." She whispered as she closed the door.

"Amber sweetie!??" I heard call from the bottom of the stairs.

"Yes mum?" Amber shouted through the door.

"Are you still in bed? Lazy girl!" The voice laughed.

"Uh yeah, I'm going to get changed so please don't come up!" Amber shouted, there was no answer. She pulled her hand away from my face and shivered.

"I'm sorry I didn't mean to get you trouble" she said quickly.

"Trouble?? I'm outta here" I said putting my hand on the door knob.

"No! Please!" She shouted quietly, she started to tear up. I moved away from the door to let her know I wasn't going to leave.

- Ambers POV -

I'm so dead.. My mum is going to kill me, literally! She's going to throw me out the window or beat me, I just know she will.

I paced up and down my bedroom quickly with my head down, Josh was still standing at the wall watching me.

"I'm really sorry" I said quietly looking over at him, I sat down on the floor and put my head in my hands, he sat down beside me.

"Why are you so afraid of your mum?.." He said after a short moment of silence.

"I'm not afraid, she just doesn't want me to get in trouble with anyone.." That's all he was getting from me.

"But you have to make friends, it's a part of life" he said with a smile, I stared at the floor trying to hold in my tears. I shuffled away slightly from him as I felt uncomfortable.

"I can't do this anymore.." I whispered to my self hoping he didn't hear.. But he did.

"Do what?.." He asked peaking over at me, I sighed.

"Nothing.."

"Hey.. What's those marks on your hands?" He asked while running his fingers over the red marks slightly, I pulled away from him in fear quickly.

"Amber?.."
