Chapter Thirty Five

- Josh's POV -

I stood silent in Amber's bedroom, wishing to see her again. I thought hard and in my mind she appeared, sitting on the bed beside me. That usual scared and worried look on her face, but there was still a smile.

I snapped out of my thoughts and looked up, Her mums bedroom..

I stood up and walked slowly towards the bedroom door, it was closed. I was afraid to go back in this room again, with what happened last time. But I needed to find Amber before something bad happened.

I stepped in, and heard the crunch of the broken glass under my trainers. The huge book was still sitting on the single bed, wide open. I lifted it and flicked to the first page. I have no idea what I'm looking for.

"Okay.. The contents page.." I muttered to myself, there wasn't any on how to save a magic person from regular human beings.. But there was one page..

"How to gain powers?.." I said while reading the page, my eyes widened..

I began reading the page, it says.. That a human can gain these powers, but only for two days. At the end of the chapter there was two potions stuck to the page, I ripped them off and read the label.

'Magic potion. Expires two days after use'

I put them both in my hoodie pocket and began searching around the room for more things which could help me find Amber.

There was a flashing red light coming from the bed side cupboard, I opened the first drawer. It seemed to be a tracking device, I opened it up and looked at the small map on the screen.

What was this for? I was so confused.. Then it came to me.

Ambers mum didn't let her leave their house.. so maybe, this tracker is to track down Amber if she runs away!

There was a small red button on the bottom of the object which said 'operate' I thought about what I was doing.. then pushed it.

The machine began to search, then it found something.

'The target is 5 miles away, in the Robinson Dealer Ship Factory'

I thought for a moment.. But that factory is known for making cars.. Not holding magic teenagers hostage.

I took the two potions and tracker with me, and began my journey.
